Great Upgrade Without Buying A "Cold Air Intake"

I'm a firm believer that Cold Air Intakes are not fully utilized without a good tune. This product is great because it replaces the stock intake tubing with a smooth, free flowing tube with no extra sound baffling. Also, you don't need a tune and it uses the stock airbox. I paired this tube with the Dry Flow AFE Inverted Filter and they work great together. Throttle response feels great and I'm sure there's some HP gain and with a tune you will gain a lot more.

High quality item

Installed on my 2014 Mustang GT 5.0. Noticeable improvement in low end and took the lag out between 1st and 2nd. I installed a trottle body spacer too at same time. Fit and finish is perfect!

The best choice for an everyday driver

I installed the Airaid MIT along with a free flowing air filter. Noticed an immediate gain in throttle response and midrange power. Only tradeoff is a minor rattle just above idle, caused by removing all the ugly resonance chambers in the stock tube. The quality of parts and instructions included were top notch. Unlike "cold air" kits, I do not have to worry about ingesting hot air when stopped or in traffic jams.

Quality Prduct

Looks much better than the factory tube - would have given it 5 stars on appearance but was scuffed from rubbing on the box. I really liked the sound tube delete option - really cleaned up the engine bay. No noticeable gains in performance - actually lost 1/10 of a mile per gallon. Was hoping to get rid of the lag in throttling in stop and go traffic but this still persists. So for me it was all about eye candy.....
