As always, K&N products are quality built. The air tube is powdercoated aluminum. Took about an hour to remove the factory parts on the Raptor SVT and install the K&N kit. The only issue is the bolts to fasten the airbox and coolent tank to the truck body are a bit short, so difficult to get started in the threaded holes. 1/4" longer bolts would make it easier. I did not notice an increase in engine noise over stock with this installation

I'm a loyal k&n fan and user. This was my third purchase and install. This one was a bit frustrating at times due to threading issues with a few bolts. It took about 2 hours from unboxing to startup, guessing only an hour had the bolts cooperated. Throttle response and the roar under the hood worth it all.

After I received my kit in the mail I looked it over and instead of installing it later I decided to do it right away as it was not too difficult looking to do. I installed it in about 90 minutes without hurrying it up. I could do it in half that time if I did it again. I did a test ride on it and Of course the sound was obvious immediately but when I turned the corner I could feel there was more power than before. The specs say 20 hp increase. I believe it.

Huge improvement over stock with more free cold air flow. My 6.2L improved the throttle response during 0 to 60 acceleration, and also with better mileage. The only minor, if any negative, is that it will make some noise during acceleration because of the better free air flow. The discreet spirited driver will find this modification to be worth. Installation although simple is delicate so make sure that only a patient, with some good mechanical knowledge installer does the install.

I really like the K&N intake. It took me just over an hour to remove the stock intake and install the K&N intake. I love the way that it sounds. It looks good to. Have not seen an increase in gas mileage yet since I keep my foot on the gas pedal to feel and hear the power increase. My next road trip I will see if it has helped on MPG. My Raptor needs all of the MPG it can get.
