Installed, I started my car and the sound of all that extra air being sucked into the intake manifold had me excited. Slowly toke off my engine was shaking and idling very rough also I have an engine light on. I check my connections no issues. Did a little research and found that other people had this issue also. It appears that there was to much oil on the filter. Disconnect the battery to clear the code and after driving it about 10 mins. I smooth out and so far I love it!!!

For the price they charge the product should come mostly assembled I think anyways. The instructions were not very good and the insulation does not really fit well. I felt like I should not have had to cut and paste the thing together. It does sound great though. I might not have gained any hp`s but it sure sounds like it!

You can definitely tell a difference in your car's performance after installing this intake. My car has more horsepower, shifts more smoothly, and takes off better than it did before. I highly recommend getting this kind of intake; it is a bit pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for!

A little noisy on cold start, but mellows out once warmed. Sounds pretty damn good when you get in the gas. Not too sure about the gas mileage increase like some say. But only been a few weeks and one tank of gas, so don't take my word for it. Get ready to do a few modifications to make it fit. Not a quick bolt up. I am pleased with it regardless.

The K&N 57 Series Air Intake was a relatively easy install on the 2002 Monte Carlo SS. It seems to have added a little more horsepower and somewhat more mpg. I am pleased with the appearance and the added benefits. I would recommend it to others with similar applications
