Bought this kit with low expectations, but still with some expectation of change compared to stock. I must say based on most of the 5 star comments I read I was eager. Well after installing I did not hear and or feel any change. No pedal response Change, no power increase, barely even heard this "noise" I was prepared to hear. I called K&N technical, they had nothing to add after telling them my results and suggested I return. Disappointed & returning after reinstalling stock!

After installing this kit, which was a no brainer (very easy to install) my truck started kicking out obd codes left and right, first, the same day the TPS sensor went out, next the throttle body motor had to be replaced, and now after all that was fixed, my RPM's are borderline stalling the truck, wish I had never done this, nothing but a huge headache, looks good though...

I am disappointed in the overall performance/economy of the intake system. Essentially it replaced the factory system with an exposed K&N air filter. This allows a lot more bugs, dirt, etc access to the filter body. In the factory system the filter was shielded. Installation was not difficlult if you followed instructions. Economy did not change, even with a Superchips programmer and dual exhaust cat-back system. The motor was a bit more responsive, but not enough to warrant the cost of the kit. I have used K&N filters on trucks and motorcycles for years. They have met expectations until now. I will probably reinstall the factory system. --- O. G.

Took about an hour and a half to install and I couldn't wait to try it. I noticed right away more acceleration. I got up to 40 mph and nailed it and it sounded like a big 4-barrel carburetor kicking in. Seems like more than the 8 and a half added horsepower it calls for.
