I bought the K/N over the AEM due to the difference in price. I would figure that an intake for a car that was 15 years old would not be so pricey, but AEM never goes on sale or has any type of discount. The K/N sounds good, transforms the car and was a good value.

This cold air intake was very easy to install and looks great. As far as performance goes, I can't really tell that much of a difference. But it does make the car sound mean. High quality product, the only thing I thought it could use an air dam around the filter cone , to induct colder air.

Ease of installation was a snap.......Less than 20 Minutes.... My mileage jumped up 3+MPG first tank.....Performance wise my Miata seems to breathe better... But in all Honesty, when I need more performance I just take my "Z06 Corvette" which also has a K & N installed on it................

Easy to install... just make sure you have metric tools. Also make sure you have something to get to bolts that are hard to reach. You can always just remove stuff that gets in the way. Hardest part was taking out the old air filter box. Overall should only take 30 minutes. Makes a good roar at 3500 rpm and up.. otherwise sounds stock with a teeny bit of throatiness. Can't compare it to other intakes cuz have never used anything else. Don't expect much performance gain though!
