great looking intake , no CEL , perfect sound (not too loud/not too quiet) more power from around 4000 rpms an all the way to 6000 rpms. Is it just me ?.....but with the intake as the only mod the car feels like it has less power around 3000 rpms and it doesn't respond right away when I gas it at low rpms. I had K&N drop in before , the car responded much quicker to accelerations! 2007 mazdaspeed3

I have a 2009 Mazdaspeed3. Already had a downpipe/racepipe installed. Installed this puppy and it was a whole different story... took about an hour to install, (i'm a novice). Once I put it on... typhoon is right. It sounds like a tornado under my hood. They claim around 20+ horses, and I'll tell you what, the last thing I expected was anything more than 5hp. (I'm realistic). I definitely got 20. Wheels spin through 3rd gear, car screams all the way into red. Solid sound, killer performance, looks badass under the hood. My first K&N product. if I could give this 6 stars I would. Absolutly fantastic product.

When i purchased the unit for my 07 MazdaSpeed 3I was expecting a performance gain which I got. But what I didn't realize was the shear thrill I get listening to the engine sucking air into itself. It sounds amazing almost like a small blower instead of a turbo.

Wow... that's all i can really say. My MS3 was crazy fast, now its insanely fast. I've put aftermarket intakes on all my cars, but never had the $ for a K&N. Since i got the mazdaspeed 3, i had to get the best intake this time. It was only available in the short ram version, but i don't care, it sounds like someone would get sucked into my car if they stand too close. I would imagine any car with a turbo would get the same effect. Prolly got atleast 15-20 hp. It estimates 25.68 hp for my car (not typical for most cars). The silver color i got matched the color of my car almost exactly. Worth every penny and i paid about $300 with 10% discount.
