Took a little while to get installed ( I have fat hands) but once installed it works great. Has a deep throaty sound went you hit the gas and I'm already seeing fuel mileage improvements. Great product like always from K&N.

Just installed my K&N CAI about two weeks ago. Very easy install, with the exception of a couple screws (I didn't have a very larger extension for my wrench). Definitely gives exhaust a deeper tone compared to stock. Installed a Borla exhaust a few days after and I am loving the performance, sound and added gas mileage. My drive consists of about 60% highway and 40% city, and before these mods it was rare if I cracked 20 mpg. After my first full tank of gas I got 21.5 mpg! Definitely recommend!

Overall, I love the sound and performance the K&N Cold Air Intake added to my vehicle. UNFORTUNATELY, K&N did NOT do their research on the 2016 Nissan Maxima. Do NOT install this with the included heat shield. It can potentially damage your transmission as it prevents proper shifting. It baffles me WHY this is the case, but, it is (I believe it's because it rests on top of the module). I had to find this through researching on my own. There was NO warning or issues included OR on K&N site.

The installation is straight forward and not difficult it just has many steps. About an hour to do. It sounds awesome under strong acceleration but is quiet at idle and gentle acceleration. It looks cool and does give better pickup. Gas mileage has gone up a half gallon in the last week.
