This intake overall is one of the best sounding intakes I have ever heard, not just for Mazdaspeed3 but for any car in general. I've had a K&N intake on my previous cars and I loved it. As far as the Speed3, install took me almost 4 hours. Reason being I am not a mechanic and I took my time thoroughly through each step to make sure it fit well. So do NOT waste your money having someone else install it for you. If I can do it you can too. Overall the sound is awesome! You can hear the BPV finally

This air intake is really fun on my 2013 Mazdaspeed3. Noticeable increase in horsepower which means bad on gas (my fault for having too much fun). I am looking forward to the excitement wearing off a little so I can see improved gas mileage, but with that sound, it's tough to accelerate at an economical rate. I thought the piping finish would be chrome. Instead it was a glittery silver, but doesn't look bad. Recommended!

I didn't know what to expect from this upgrade other than the increase in performance, what took me by surprise was one of the parts that didn't quite fit, but after a bit of time and readjusting I was able to get it to properly fit. The best part if is the sound, I can hear as the air is being rushed into the intake and as a side effect the BOV sounds more aggressive ;).

I have wanted to make this purchase for a while as I have heard about the benefits of a air intake system, & I am VERY happy that I finally did. Installing took a little effort but was actually a fun project with my brother - & I'm no mechanic. I immediately noticed an increase in power & have put a few hundred miles on it so far & have seen an increase in MPG (which is awesome cause I'm driving my Speed3 even harder now than before). From 26 to 27-28 MPG & driving harder! Sound is great too

I really like it had it installed by Mazda, after I had a Magna flow cat back installed, the combo is very sweet. Car runs with a deeper growl, a little better mpg but a lot more power thru all gears. Looks good under the hood, bought an extra filter so no down time. I'd say 5 out of 5 stars and auto anything was awesome, got my email saying it shipped and two days later it's at my front door. Ordered wrong CAI they took it back no problem and I got the right three days later! All I all a very positive experience, can't wait to trade the speed3 in and start over in a couple years!

I added the air intake to my Speed 3 in order to get some more power and also help fuel consumption. I haven't put a lot of mileage on since the addition, but it seems to have helped both issues. The installation was pretty simple, and the instructions were pretty comprehensive. Knowing K&N products, it will be a long-term improvement to the intake package the car came with.
