The install took about 2 hours (I don't come from an automotive background) wasn't too terribly difficult thanks to a YouTube video I found which walked me through the install. There are some noticeable gains in HP but the biggest downfall to this product with the loud & obnoxious tweetering/reverb sound the intake makes when you are accelerating hard over 3/3500 rpm's. I'm likely going to take my car to a performance shop to see if there is anything they can do to correct this sound.

It was pretty easy to install. I just took my time and did it in the driveway. There was enough assembly to let me feel like I was doing more than plugging something in, but not so much that I had to buy special tools or consult youtube videos. I can hear a difference when I accelerate. The sound is somewhat of a hiss and not a deep growl like we hear when we install one of these on a V8 for instance. I like it though. I notice additional speed and power, but it's not real theatrical. I just look at the speedo and am surprised that it reads 80 already...that kind of thing.

Increased my MPG, throttle is more responsive. Everything fits with ease, except fresh air intake, doesn't fit just right. Wrap the heat shield with heat tape before installing, that sucker get hot. You can really hear the turbo with only the intake mod, so unless you want the "woooosh". Don't get it. Real head turner.

on my particular car (2012 Audi A4 turbo) between 1000 and 3000 rpms the typhoon Intake system made my car sound terrible. after 5000 rpms it sounds great. it sounded like a belt needed replacing from 1000-3000. I've had many Intake systems on many cars and this is the first one I've ever had that is terrible. there was no obvious change in power either.. I think k&n's claims of 20+ hp are insane. terrible product.

Installation was very easy. Took about 2 hours all together and the quality is very good but you couldn't expect any less from K&N. engine is louder and the sound of the turbo is more distinct. Performance wise I couldn't tell you because I had the car chipped at the same time.

After I installed the K&n typhoon intake I noticed the car gain more power after about 20 miles. I also love the noise it makes when the turbo spools and when I get off the accelerator. Definitly a good investment for hp gain and sound.
