I love the way the car sounds with this intake on. It's not too loud when cruising or on an everyday drive but it's definitely mean and noticable when you step on it. The only problem is the price. This specific intake is close to 300 dollars but so are the other competitors like AEM and Injen. When these ram air intakes are can be sold for about 100-150 from the manufacturer. Other then price this was a great product and easily installed in about a half hour.

Well designed, nice fit. I only put it on a week ago but the initial impression is good. I've had similar k&n products on previous cars with no problems for 20k miles so I had no reservations getting this one. When I took out the enormous, very restrictive looking, standard air box I was very confident a noticeable hp gain would not be difficult to get. The car now has that little extra power and sportier sound that really make it a better drive.

I have used K&N filters on all my vehicle for the past 15+ years but this is the first CAI system I've installed. It is very easy to install for anyone who does simple maintenance. You can notice the improved acceleration, it works. I am pleasantly surprised that it DOES increase the mileage in my Mazda 6 by a couple MPG. There is a strange 'growl' at low rpms but it shouldn't be so bad that you would want to 'unload it' as a read one reviewer say. Using the Sport mode of the transmission makes that go away. Very happy with the product.

Easy to install and looks good. Small increase in power and sound. I could go for a bit more throaty sound, but it's there. The air intake on my Mazda MX-5 miata is more robust, but that is a manual and my Mazda 6 is the auto.

1st thing: AutoAnything customer service was great. When I received my intake, I took it out to do any installation/prep I could before removing the original from my car. The vent fitting (installation step 16) couldn't be screwed in. Phone call, return authorized, new one on the way. Got it a few days later, expected a 1-2 hour install and was done in 45 minutes. The performance and gas MPG gains are NICE and now it has that "growl" sound on acceleration (not excessive). Well worth the $$$.

Installed this on my 3rd Gen Mazda6. I have zero auto install experience & can't say how easy the installation was! It sounds great and will be able to help max out performance with a tune. Not sure how well the heat shield works yet so since still few months away from the summer heat. Wish there was a sealed cold air box though.

Installed on 2014 Mazda 6. PROS: There is definite improvement in low end throttle response & reduced hesitation on low end acceleration (sorely needed by this vehicle). CONS: Very noisy under heavy acceleration. Heat shield needs extra bracket to reduce vibration. Hose clamp for air filter interferes with rubber grommet on heat shield. I gave 5 stars for price/value because I got 20% off with coupon code.
