The kit works great and gives a increase in horsepower, looks good. I had trouble installing it because they sent me a smaller bracket, but I made one that worked. Also they sent a wrong fitting, and I had to go to Auto Zone to get one that would work. Along with the dual Manaflow mufflers, it gives me more power and a better sound.

Noticeable increase in power, acceleration and MPGs. Installation was fairly easy but for some reason I had extra screw and nuts(?). I used You Tube and written instructions provided. There is a loud drone sound at mid range but quiet when running low RPMs. Best music is climbing steep grade or passing on freeway. I highly recommend.

Very easy installation, took me between 30 minutes and one hour. My gas mileage increased from 14.9 mph to 17.3 mph on the highway and about a 1 mph increase in the city. I use to have throttle lag when I accelerated, but after I installed the K&N, this is no longer. The only drawback is when you accelerate, the engine noise is louder, but I can live with that!!!

A lot louder than I expected when you are on the gas pedal. Have not seen an improvement in gas mileage yet. Seems to have a little more power. Wish I knew it was going to be so loud because I might have choose a different sealed intake. Also the instructions were okay but they could be better. My truck has the 4.6L V8.

Very pleased with K&N's product. Installing yourself is pretty straightforward although finding an instructional video on their website helped clarify some of the gaps between steps. I goofed when replacing the mass air flow sensor. Put it in upside down and when starting the engine, it would immediately shut off after a few seconds. So don't be like me, put things back in place correctly.

Installation of a couple bolts were a little off from the directions (need a reference chart with pictures matching hardware supplied). As for the overall performance... I could notice better throttle response and reach a higher speed in an area where I put it to the test for my satisfaction. This product does make your truck louder, but that doesn't bother me like it might with some other people.
