Though so far it seems to be providing better MPG install was not so easy. It took a long time and some of the screws and bolts did not fit properly. It does create a louder ride but we still have to do a few more fueling s to see if it really helps with gas. I cannot really tell if it gives more horse power. There is a 90 day return policy but after getting it installed there is no way we are going to take it out now.

Think of it as a very expensive way to make your truck sound like a lawn mower. No increase in MPG, big increase in HP and acceleration, but it's not worth the trade off. The in cabin noise is unbearable. Needs to be professionally installed, took a master mechanic 2.5 hours and he had a really hard time with fitment. If I hadn't already negotiated 1.5 hours and watched the entire procedure, I might think he was milking it. Save your money.

I've driven over a week with it and I really notice the greater power as well as the volume of the acceleration of the engine. On a subtler note, of the few tanks of gas I've put in, I believe it's gained at least 1 mpg over factory estimates on average. The slight drop in my opinion comes from the heat sink lid screw holes didn't all line up with the box very well. Required extra persuasion to get 4 in, 5th one couldn't go in.

difficult to attach to throttle body intake. can understand why jeep has flexible bend on intake tube. after intake tube installed it did not fit well into heat shield, used duct tape to seal around tube. used k&n on my Dakota pickup several years ago installation easy quick and very clean.

I purchased this filter kit due to the reputation of the company and previous experiance's with their products expectind the best of the best, Boy was I wrong! Instructions said 90 minute install, 3 hours and more tools than directions called for I go to test fire car to check for leaks or ? everything was good so I go to shut hood and test drive, the hood won't shut! Now in a panic tried to remove top cover and bolts were breaking, after cutting several bolts off I had to modify top plate.

I was very excited about this product, and tried to installed it myself with friends. Couldn't do it. Took it to a mechanic, neither could he. Apparently K&N said it would fit dodge avengers and calibers on the instructions, but it actually doesn't. Major disappointment. But I'll wait for the right part and hopefully not to long.
