Description:

Before K&N’s latest intake designs become a certified member of their hallowed 57 Series FIPK line, they start as a K&N 63 Series AirCharger High-Flow Intake Kit. It’s what makes the 63 Series Air Intakes some of the most potent and powerful high-flow devices to roll out off the assembly line. To start with, they’re equipped with the largest possible cotton-gauze filter. Massive airflow runs through this lifetime washable and reusable filter for the biggest power gains you’ve seen in a while – up to 26 horsepower for your outstanding K&N Cold Air Intake.

Couple that with K&N’s crosslink nylon intake tube that runs cooler than a metal pipe, and the 63 Series AirCharger Intake Kit stuffs pure pedal punch right into your power plant. It takes less than 90 minutes to install, with no drilling or modification required, thanks to the detailed instructions and hardware kit that comes with it.

Notes:
  • AutoAnything’s exclusive 30-day money back guarantee: try it out and if it doesn’t fully meet your expectations – installation was too difficult, performance gains weren’t impressive – send it back in any condition for a full refund. AutoAnything is not responsible for return shipping.

Not Impressed.

I recently installed the K&N 63 Intake on my 2006 GMC Canyon 3.6L V6. A couple things, it made the engine noise incredibly loud and made the engine not perform well. I called K&N to confirm I installed it correctly. First the engine noise. It sounded like the exhaust manifold came off the engine. I couldn't even drown it out turning the stereo up. Regarding performance, at about 1500 rpm and 45 mph my engine would start to miss and the truck would shudder. Very disappointed.

K&N 63 GMC Canyon

Secured shipping box, with all parts easily found within. Great product, however would have liked keeping the engine plenum on. A little loud for my taste. You will hear a difference inside the cab especially when getting on the throttle. Helps with GMC's poor design on throttle response.

WORTH THE MONEY AND EFFORT

I INSTALLED THIS INTAKE AFTER DOING RESEARCH FROM MANY DIFFERENT VENDORS. THIS KIT OFFERED THE BEST VALUE FOR THE MONEY. INSTALLATION WAS A BREEZE. MAKE SURE YOU FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS COMPLETELY. AFTER HOOKING THE BATTERY BACK UP MAKE SURE YOU LET THE ENGINE IDLE FOR A MIN OF 5 MINUTES, SO THE MAF SENSOR CAN GET A NEW BASE READING FOR THE ENGINE ECM. THE REASON I DID NOT GIVE A FULL 5 STARS WAS THE INTAKE IS VERY NOISY WHEN THE ENGINE IS LUGGING AT LOWER RPM'S.

Another great intake by K&N

I always put K&N intakes in all of my vehicles, this one specifically is great. It is by far the loudest CAI I've heard but I like the intake noise. It has a very loud and deep drone from around 2k RPM up to 3k RPM. Easy to install, took approximately 30 minutes and I also modified the engine cover to fit back on top.

Nice, but loud.

Loud enough to be annoying. I'll remove it and install a K&N filter in the stock airbox.

Too much noise

Easy enough to install but I had to remove it after one week. I've had and still have cold air intakes in my cars but this one was horrible sounding. The sounds were way too loud and made the Colorado unpleasurable to drive. Do not buy this one.

K&N 63 Series AirCharger on 2015 Z71 Colorado

If you enjoy your quite ride then stay away from this product. Very annoying noise is not worth the slight advertised performance increase. Best suited for actual performance vehicle or teenagers who equate noise as a performance increase. Mine is back in the box it came in and IM enjoying my solitude.

Wouldn't recommend for the Colorado

This is the fourth K&N cold air system I have purchased and installed on various vehicles. I would not recommend for the Colorado. Here are the reasons: -it makes the engine noise VERY loud and not in a good way. 3.6 liter now sounds loud but weak. -I've used for 2000 miles with no improvement in mpg and engine still feels weak Trailering is still a struggle. -stock intake is molded into the top engine cover. With K&N in place the cover will not fit. The engine now looks incomplete.

Awesome Sound and Low end improvement!

First thing you notice when you punch it is the sound and acceleration! Sound is so beefy! I've had it for a few weeks now and have only noticed a slight improvement on MPG, but that may be due to loving that sound when I punch it! Really pleased with this thing!

Jack Forgues

This unit is not designed for the 2016 Colorado with a V6 engine. The engine cover has to be incorporated into the design. This unit was too nosy and died at 1200 RPM, Removed unit two days ago.

2015 colorado 3.6

it took longer to remove the stock intake than to install the k&n.could not find any notes on changing fuel octane so i assume u can run 87-93. the 2015 colorado 3.6 stock air intake is a one piece top of engine cover so unless u plan on scraping it.the top of engine is exposed after k&n install. i had no intentions of keeping the stock so i modified it to go back over the engine. this air intake gives me the pep and sound i was looking for
