I ordered and the advertisement and literature states it is compatible with cold air kits. However the hardware supplied is not compatible with CAI at all. For example the K&N FIPK for my 1996 C1500 uses the stock studs with spacers to secure the cold air intake tubing to the throttle body. If you put the spacer below the throttle body, the studs are to short and the hardware supplied is for a stock installation with stock air box. It is not compatible with a CAI. It comes with three hex bolt head screws and one M6 stud. The kit needs 3 additional M6 x 90mm studs with 3 nuts to make it work. These are hard to find at the auto parts stores or home centers as most are M6 x 70mm. You have to special order on line. Just a big headache!!!

I was looking to add some cheap power to my tahoe, because i already had flowmasters, AEM intake and Hypertech chip. The trottle body spacer added a little bit of torque and is helping on gas a little, by maybe 1mpg.About to take trip, so I'll be able to test the mpg there. I'd say it's worth what you pay for it. It's not amazing and it doesn't make your eyes wide open, but the power is definately there. Good choice if you're not looking to spoend too much money for power.
