This intake is sweet. I put in on my 05 mazda 6s and immediately, the sound was awesome. Before, it sounded decent, now people ask what kind of exhaust I have, and this intake is the only engine mod so far. AEM advertised 5-7% HP increase, I'd say that's about right. I think there's a bit more grab between 3-4k rpm than there was, and maybe a little more kick at 4.5k, which is usually the peak of the power band. Not sure about gas mileage yet, but I know I just rev if alot??

I had an aem on my last car and loved it so had to get one for the newer car. They send a good pair of instructions with pictures and everything to make install as fast and easy as possible. Once installed rev the gas a little bit and here the growl. Sounds great. Car is definitely a little quicker as well and I don't seem to be usin as much gas.

Great sounding device. GREAT FIT. Installation takes about an hour, because you need to jack up the car and take off the driver side wheel. ONE INCONVENIENCING ISSUE, THE DIRECTIONS DID NOT SAY TO PLUG UP THE HOSE FROM THE ORIGINAL INTAKE SO MAKE SURE YOU DO, otherwise the check engine light comes on and on repeatedly. Definitely aids in performance and makes the car respond quicker to anyone with a "lead foot". No real change in gas mileage, but driving stupid, or gunning the gas, has not made me lose as many miles as I normally would. Overall, very good device for the money.
