Install took appx. 1.5 hrs. due to oddly placed retention bolt on stock air box. Price was good after rebate & coupon code. Allows you to keep the stock engine cover on the Frontier. Noticeable throttle response improvement off the line. Seem to lose a little torque in the 1-2k rpm (coasting) range & gains in the 3-5k range. Installed a Tonneau at the same time & combined saw a gas mileage increase of 22% (about 4 mpg. combined) from 18.7 to 22.9 normal combined driving (measured on OBD).

aFe coal air intake - definite power increase at hi speeds (you'll love to punch it at 70mph and feel the g's), great sound, nominal mpg increase. Very satisfied.

I watch my MPG big time, it really did give me 2-4 MPG more!! Also no doubt increased my horses and torque!! Not a giant change.. and the slight growl to the engine is an added bonus!! Would buy again..

$220 with cleaning kit. Fairly easy to install. Difficulty removing one of the vibration bolts (due to location). Once I literally pulled the housing off of rubber and bolt, easy to unscrew. Subtle improvement. Lower idle [around 600rpm after warm](more air) without extra vibration of truck. Applying similar amount of force on the gas pedal as previously, I'm able to identify a small increase in torque, and a smoother transition into higher gears. This implies an extra amount of horsepower. Haven't consumed full tank to document fuel efficiency. If I get extra 1 mpg [according to previous reviews], at $2.50/gallon (for now), I should break even in around 18 months (versus $350 for K&N = almost 3 years). Better value for the price.

Everything seems to be as advertised except I haven't seen any increase in my truck's gas mileage, if anything it's dropped a few percent. Why?

Installed on a Nissan Frontier, my last one I installed an Airaid...this one appears to be much larger...expect that will improve breathing....good product, great price.

After researching all the different CAI systems out there, I found that AFE to be the best value. The advisers here at AutoAnything were knowledgeable and helped with my purchase decision. The installation instructions provide came with vehicle specific photos which was helpful. However, on my vehicle, the instructions had me remove one bolt and then the stock air box would come right out. This was not the case and unmentioned bolt was extremely difficult and required me to purchase new specific tools. Outside of that, the installation was quick and simple. I cannot truly review the sound and performance aspect because I had my exhaust system upgraded the same day. But, it sure looks nice!!

I have noticed better throttle response off the line, and much smoother exceleration at highway speeds. I would recamend this be the firt thing you should do to increase performance of your truck.
