This is VERY challenging to install. I had installed three other intakes with ease, but this one took hours. The stock intake is a pain to take out, and the AFE down pipe is even more challenging. It does have better performance in the end, especially in 1st gear, but plan on HOURS to install this intake. There is no room to connect the five (5) breathers and the turbo....each one sucks. I would not recommend this intake.

First, this intake is for LATE '02 thru '05.5 B6 a4's. My A4 was an early '02 so it required a bit of modification for proper fitment and function. The use of the factory lower air box and air duct maintains "cold air" supply and helps retain a clean look in the engine compartment. The large composite intake pipe W/mass air fitting and large filter really help improve air flow. Installation is not very easy for the average diy'er. But can be done in about 1 to 2 hrs (early '02 needs add. parts). Effect: bit louder engine, Diverter valve can be heard. Smoother torque and throttle (seat of pants) Con: audible "whislte" around 2k @ light throttle. Overall: challenging install. Great results, great price.
