Looks good, easy to install. I can tell a little more pep with it on the 2.5 L 4 cylinder. It isn't life changing but it's better than the original intake and I am happy with it.

Great product, but the small black and white pics on the instructions were a little hard to follow. The provided zip tie snapped as soon as I put some pressure on it. Had a set of more robust zip ties I used. The hise clamos seemed a little large, but worked just fine.

Real easy to install. Have had it for to tank refills and have noticed an improvement by a couple of mpg. As far as power, there was a little improvement, but barely noticeable.

I RESEARCHED THE AIR INTAKE SYSTEMS AVAILABLE ON THE MARKET FOR MY '97 JEEP TJ. A LARGE PART OF MY CONCERN WAS VALUE FOR MY DOLLAR. ALL OF THESE AIR SYSTEMS ACCOMPLISH THE SAME END. I WANTED ONE THAT WOULD LAST THE LIFE OF THE VEHICLE; LOOK GOOD WHEN I OPENED THE HOOD; BE FAIRLY EASY TO INSTALL; & HOPEFULLY GIVE MY LITTLE 4-BANGER A BIT MORE ZIP AND MAYBE AN EXTRA MILE PER GALLON (CURRENTLY 18 HOME & 20 HWY).. I DID HAVE ONE MINOR PROBLEM WHICH WAS HANDLED IN AN EXEMPLARY MANNER BY YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE NANCY.I FOUND ONE SPOT WHERE THE TUBE WAS TOUCHING THE HEAT SHIELD. I TOOK A SIX INCH PIECE OF LAWN MOWER GASOLENE LINE SLIT IT LENGTH WISE AND SLID IT OVER THE CURVE OF THE HEAT SHIELD, PROBLEM SOLVED.

The Spectre Cold Air Intake is easy to install with just a few tools. The quality of the intake pipe is a bit low. The fitting for the PVC hose was crushed and the weld looks poor. The Intake pipe should have another mounting location due to the size of the filter. The filters weight causes the pipe to bounce around and make contact with the splash shield. The tie strap used to connect the splash shield to the strut is a cheap mounting idea and could have been designed better. I did notice an increase in performance but not in fuel mileage. The sound is deep and throaty.
