It is definitly the best value in air intakes. It took a little adjusting to get the plate to fit right.I have'nt driven the truck to much since installation but it appears to have more power.I was surprised to find out that Spectra is part of K&N.

Installation went well with a few exceptions. First, the heat shield is too tall for the 2000 4Runner. Leaving one screw attached I lowered the shield to allow the hood to fasten down. It is loose but the lowered hood keeps it from moving. Second, the shoulder bolts on the band clamps bottomed out before they tightened down securely. I will have to buy full thread bolts to secure the air tube to the intake manifold. Performance seems to have increased a bit after a few days.

I like my kit a lot. As promised, it really helps with performance and I think it will help fuel mileage. The supplied clamps did not work to my liking (they were of high quality) so I replaced them with $5 clamps from the auto part store. This thing does a nice job.

I like the product..I give it a 2 on ease of installation because the mod required. I say get it. But make sure you get the correct part # for your 4 runner because you may need to cut the tube to install the map sensor if you have the sensor permanent on the coupling like I do. But it gave my 4 runner a throaty sound!
