they could use some additional info of taking the factory unit apart. also the cold air box the metal guard is to tall, the hood would not close, had to bend it down all away across to get hood closed, had no cutting tools. this has been mentioned b4 and all they have to do us cut 1 in off the back guard. otherwise is nice and great value

Product was easy to install after watching videos and reading through the instructions both prior and during installation. Sounds great and feels like my engine is breathing better.

Everything went fine until the heat shield installation and as some have discovered and commented on, the heat shield was too tall and had to be cut down to clear the closing of the hood. Since this is a releated problem many others have faced Spectre should address this issue, I cut 3/4" off of mine to clear the closing of the hood and with the rubber seal it still touched the hood and sealed. Other than that the installation was problem free and everything fit, it looks fantastic!

it makes a noticeable diff in mid to high rpm's, no sound diff as others stated, Spectre is about half the price of other brands which is great, but it wasnt exactly as they claim, cold air box only has 2 bolts holding in place, and the rubber boots or the tube could be a bit longer so you dont have to stretch it into place

This intake works very well. The appearance is fantastic and the horse power on my 2001 Chevy Surburban has dramatically improved. However the installation was extremely difficult. The intake went in on about an hour with little help from below average instructions. Except when I attempted to close the hood. It would NOT close. The metal housing that surrounds the air filter was 3 inches above maximum clearance. After another hour of grinding the hood finally closed. Installing is a nightmare!

Helped the gas mileage a little and better throttle response has a deep tone when u press on the gas and overall a good product for half the price of a k&n filter, although it didn't come with the Allen rench and fit was tight but product is amazing
