ND Miata Cold Air Intake

The instructions were very easy to follow with numbered pictures to match. Everything needed for the installation was included except two parts that were reused from the factory air box. The installation took less than an hour with simple hand tools. It is very clean looking and easily serviceable. Engine response has improved.

Awesome buy

Looks great and easy to install. Sounds awesome paired up with my full race downpipe. I can hear a difference at about 3500 rpm and a slight noticeable power gain as well.

Makes my Q60 hotter.

Surpasses my expectations. The appearance, the enhanced sound, and a definite increase in performance are all factors in this positive review of the Takeda Air Intake System in my Infinity Q60. It is worth every penney.

Installation of the filter enclosure box didn't go very smoothly

The enclosure box is designed to attach to one half of the existing filter box on the 3.6 Subaru Outback. I was unable to make a tight closure and ended up using some duct tape to seal the two halves together. The rest of the installation was straight-forward and I'm happy with the result and the improved performance of the vehicle.

Looks great in the engine bay and sounds even better

Installing this intake was pretty easy. Just a few hoses to connect and screws and clamps to tighten down. What was difficult was removing the old air box. The tubes were on very tight and took a lot of force to yank them out. Installing the SRI probably took about 30 mins. Removing the old air box took about 1.5 hours. I haven't had the SRI for long but so far it sounds great. It adds a nice agressive growling sound when you step hard on the gas and overpowers the sound from my Borla cat-back

Takeda air intake review

Not as easy to install as their video made it look. Has improved the responsiveness of our 2014 Q50. Note to Q50 owners, the factory air boxes are very thin and easily broken. This is a much better fix/upgrade than going back with the standard OEM box/top.

Worth it!

You can feel the power and torque increase right away. The sound is just what I wanted. Normal sound until you really hit it and then a satisfying growl increasing to a throaty roar. Fun!

Awesome

Of coarse you won't notice any HP gain. You will notice much improved throttle response and paired with an exhaust this thing really wakes the car up. My GS350 F sport now sounds like it should without the crappy sound generator.

Great sound

This CAI is for a Lexus RC 350. It's impressive that the instructions were for my specific vehicle so if you follow the directions it's an easy install. Took about 45 minutes. The Lexus is a quiet car company. The RC is an exception especially in sport mode. With the Takeda, under full sets throttle it's a sports car. Wonderful sound. But driven sedately it's still a quiet car. After market mufflers are loud all of the time. I had no idea a CAI could transform the car this way.

Easy install, good quality

Today, I was at the Subaru dealer having new plugs installed, when I noticed that all the new (2017) Subarus have an air intake setup that is exactly the same shape as the Takeda. Install was very easy, and there is a nice sound as the motor revs.

Takeda short ram intake(2005 G35 Coupe)

I love it!! Gives it a nice roar once you hit 3,000 rpm, it was super easy to install took about 45 min. Just because I had to go to autozone and buy a tool to take off the sensor, overall very satisfied and recommend to others

Probably one of my better investments

I bought the takeda with the same hopes as any other person who wants a cold air intake. That signature whistle. However, on my 2010 Subaru Legacy, it changed the exhaust note and made the the intake "whoosh" very noticeable. I'm 100% certain that if I put UEL's on my car, it'll for sure sound like an STI. the intake added a little more power, I wish it was a little better looking, but it's definitely gorgeous. My next vehicle will for sure have the takeda intake.

Subaru Legacy

It was a good purchase, glad I decided on this brand. When I get on it she's got a nice rumble to it. The installation was a little difficult due to engine set up in my Subie took longer then 30 minutes. But overall it looks great & I like the sound it puts out

2009 Nissan Versa HB 1.8L w/ Takeda

This was easy to install and I don't even change my own oil or brakes. The instructions order is a bit off. I would wait to put the battery back in last for you have more room to work. The short tube supplied is a bit too long and make the engine cover sit a little tilted, but that is an easy fix. It sounds great on my versa. I catch people looking with I get on the throttle. Even though it is only a 5hp gain you can feel a difference when you hit 4K on the tack. Just get it already.

2013 infiniti g37 sedan takeda dual intake.

It took longer to install than what it says on the website. The rubber pieces were slick so it was a pain to get the clamps to stay in place but once you do it's a good looking intake. You can immediately hear a difference in the sound of your engine then it takes about a hundred miles to break in. When it does you can tell a difference in throttle response and the get up and go when you hit the gas. Gas mileage is about the same but I am a led foot and do mainly city driving. I'd recommend this
