K&N in a 95 inline 6 F150

I got this filter for my Ford F150 (1995 300Ci l6) Responsiveness- The truck feels a little more responsive in gears 1-3 in the rpm range of 2-3500. gears 4-5 still feel unchanged. Sound - I have to admit though it is fun to listen to it when you put the pedal down you can actually hear some noise from the intake which I hadn't experienced with the old one. Although this HAS caused me to drive differently and therefor I cant say how it handles mileage just yet. Installation- Only 3 holes have to be drilled and any drill bit/drill should do the job just fine. (1 through plastic of the wheel well and 1 through the lip below the hood and 1 through the divider between the Wiper fluid and Air Filter) Easy enough to install (30 Minutes) only downside is no pretty K&N Pipe with this kit. Overall- Great quality product but for the price you're mostly paying for a K&N filter and a mounting bracket. Nothing else. Still I prefer it over the old one and Auto Anything did give me a great deal when I called in and asked.

Taylor Cable Helix Power Tower Throttle Body Spacer Reviews

A nice little efficiency upgrade.

Reviewed By Cody G (Kansas City, KS) Reviewed for a 1995 Ford F-150 —4/7/2009 2:04 PM

Right now I'm trying to get the most out of my straight six motor without adding any extra fuel to the equation. This helped throttle response and gave a little addition to the gas mileage, but not quite what I had expected. But for the price and ease of installation, I think it was worth it. And I didn't get the whistling sound that I hear people talk about with these.
