2009 VW TDI Mileage

Reviewed By Maurice S (Cape Coral, FL) Reviewed for a 2009 Volkswagen Jetta —5/28/2010 5:44 AM

This was an easy kit to install and seemed well made. The kit should have been offered with an additional option of cleaner and spray filter oil, but my K&N filter oil seems just fine. After several 50 to 100 mile trips My mileage has increased by an honest 2-3 miles per gallon, possibly more. Seems worth it for the long run.

Great Product on 2016 VW Jetta 1.8TSI

Reviewed By Kyle F (GAINESVILLE, FL) Reviewed for a 2016 Volkswagen Jetta —1/31/2018 5:55 PM

Had to purchase Torx bits (T25 and T30) to finish the job. Directions are for the 2.0 TSI engine, so discrepancies when installing on the 1.8 TSI Gen 3. A friend and I installed in about 2 hours. Afterward, great sound from the engine and noticeable pull in the midrange. Diverter valve is now audible between shifts, which is probably the best feature. Mind the brake reservoir, ensure the turbo inlet pipe is as high as it can be while still secured. Injen makes a great product for this Jetta.

Great Product! Must Have!

Reviewed By Matthew B (BRENTWOOD, NH) Reviewed for a 2006 Volkswagen Jetta —5/12/2016 10:55 AM

I think this intake is a need for my 2006 Volkswagen GLI becuase the stock intake is almost trash and restricts so much if the turbo's capacity. You can for sure tell the difference with the now loud turbo noises and increase in power and torque!
