Air Intake Systems

1999 Chevy Tahoe Air Intake Systems

The quickest and most popular way to squeeze every last opportunity for power in your car or truck has to do with air consumption. The air intake system was designed from the factory to provide just enough airflow while reducing engine noise and clutter. Unfortunately, most of these designs are not designed to let the most airflow through to your engine. Think of trying to exercise while taking short small breaths, compared to taking big deep breaths. The difference is pivotal. Let that engine breathe freely with one of our cold air intake kits. Check out our Car Air Intake Systems Buying Guide.

For black plastic some sheet metal and some rubber thats lil high in pricing. But kids thats while you should get high and shop on line lmao" —Joshua S from Union City, CA bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 1999 Chevy Tahoe.

"I LOVE THE SOUND AND PERFORMANCE OF MY K&N COLD AIR INTAKE, BUT WHAT SUPRISED ME THE MOST WAS THE CUSTOMER SERVICE. MY SALES REP. "This product utilized an attachment bolt (hidden) right next to and below the AC hose. Reading the directions three times and studing the picture I took off the AC bolt and lost all my coolant. "Install was easy and everything bolted up no problems. (99 Tahoe)I thought the quality of directions could have been a little better, but they did work." —Richard S from Chicago, IL bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 1999 Chevy Tahoe.

"The intake installed fairly easily in my 1999 Tahoe. The space between the air box and the throtle body was almost the exact length of the provided tubing and fitment sleeves, leaving only mm's to clamp in place. Truck sounds 'throatier' now and deffinitely has more throttle response." —Aaron K from Salt Lake City, UT bought a Volant Cold Air Intakes for a 1999 Chevy Tahoe, 5.7L V8.

"This is the best kit out there for more power, better fuel economy, and a little bit of growl from your motor. It really is a great fit, looks tough, and you know the name K&N stands for value & performance. Get this system for your truck!" —Keith P from Andover, MN bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 1999 Chevy Tahoe, 5.7L V8.

Volant Cold Air Intakes

Quality product, noticeable increase in throttle response.

High quality intake. It was a little tricky to get all the parts lined up perfectly. Overall it took about a half hour to install on my 1999 Chevy Tahoe. I was pleasantly surprised that you could notice a difference. The trucks throttle response is faster and it pulls harder. Also you can hear a little more rumble under the hood. View more reviews...

Jet Power-Flow TBI Spacer

Not the clearest instructuions

I was looking to add some cheap power to my tahoe, because i already had flowmasters, AEM intake and Hypertech chip. The trottle body spacer added a little bit of torque and is helping on gas a little, by maybe 1mpg.About to take trip, so I'll be able to test the mpg there. I'd say it's worth what you pay for it. It's not amazing and it doesn't make your eyes wide open, but the power is definately there. Good choice if you're not looking to spoend too much money for power. View more reviews...
