K&N 71 Series Blackhawk Air Intake System Review - SEMA 2013
How’s it going? I’m Vincent Pistonetti from K&N Engineering here at the 2013 SEMA show. I want to talk to you today about the new K&N Blackhawk induction system. Now, the great features about these intake kits is they are available for your car, truck, street model. The main features of the system incorporate the aluminum intake tube, which is powder-coated black. We have included black couplers and black hose clamps along with a custom dry flow, non-oiled, synthetic black filter. Regarding the air filter, one of the things that is unique — it is the first time K&N has offered a dry synthetic filter on a street vehicle for your car or truck. The ease of maintenance that you can get on it is incredibly simple. No use of oil means that washing it is simple and a 1-2 step process. Simply spray on the filter cleaner, hose it off, let it dry and you’re done. Regarding throttle body spacers, K&N doesn’t directly recommend the use of them with our intake systems only because we can’t guarantee fitment. The intake system was designed for stock application. You can use a throttle body spacer but it might not fit the vehicle that you might have. One of the reasons we went with our black powder-coated aluminum tubing over some of the more popular styles of the roto-molded plastic tubing was that we could incorporate welded-on MAF adapters for your MAF sensor as well as the nice, custom chrome K&N plate that will be welded onto the intake tube. So if you’re looking for a killer intake system with a murder outlook, custom design for your car or truck, you want to make sure that you choose the K&N Blackhawk Induction system and you can get it now at AutoAnything.com.
