"this was very easy to install and it looks good!! the only problem i had was finding the hole saw in that size." —L.combeverly H from Brooksville, FL bought a K&N 77 Series Metal Intake Kit for a 2004 Toyota Tacoma, 3.4L V6.
"After installing this intake, I noticed the immediate difference in power and sound. Feels more responsive than before, giving my engine a less whiny sound and a deep tone (when pushing for speed). Again like people have said, they haven't noticed much change in MPG because they have been pushing the gas harder -same case with me. Installation took under an hr and with the detailed instructions, it was quite easy. As far as why I chose this over the K&N? 1. Price 2. With the AEM you don't have to reoil the filter when cleaning it. Overall it's an awesome improvement for an great price." —Aaron K from Portland, OR bought an AEM Brute Force Air Intakes for a 2004 Toyota Tacoma, 3.4L V6.
"Positives: The intake works great. I can feel a good difference in power at the top end and it sounds good too. The K&N looks good in my truck as well. Negatives: Since the kit I bought is used on numerous vehicles, the intructions were confusing. I gave up on them and just used common sense. Also I didnt like the fact that on my application a whole saw bit and a drill was needed. Not a common tool so made things little frustating. Overall, the intake is great. Just read the instuctions before you tear off your stock intake so you dont have to re-install it to go find a speacial tool if needed." —Patrick W from Jacksonville, NC bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 2004 Toyota Tacoma, 3.4L V6.
"I saw a big differance in throttle response. couldn't tell much in the 0-60 time ,but still very pleased" —Bobby J from Inman, SC bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 2004 Toyota Tacoma.
"Pretty easy to install, but had to drill one additional hole in baffle for easier fit. This intake is very loud, even compared to other similar ones. There is a harmonic at full throttle/4000 rpm that has to be over 90db in the cab. Try a fully enclosed system if you're sensitive to the noise." —Angela P from Tucson, AZ bought an aFe Cold Air Intakes for a 2004 Toyota Tacoma, 3.4L V6.
"took me less than 2 hrs. to install , including replacing my plugs , almost 3 mpg increase , excellent directions ,would recommend this kit to anyone.
" —James B from Fairfield, CA bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 2004 Toyota Tacoma, 2.7L 4-cyl. engine.
"Had the Injen IS intake for a week now. It was easy to install and it sound better good too. Did not notice any change yet in the mileage. I will find out soon. Thanks, autoanything." —Frederick L from Walnut Creek , CA bought an Injen IS Series Short Ram Intake for a 2004 Toyota Tacoma.
"Installation was a breeze. 30 minutes from start to test drive. Everything fit perfectly. Surprised at the extra power. Hopefully gas mileage will improve once I get tired of the sound the engine now makes and am able to keep my foot a little lighter on the gas pedal." —Nelson K from Chillicothe, OH bought an AEM Brute Force Air Intakes for a 2004 Toyota Tacoma.
"Shortly after installing my Cold Air Intake from INJEN I started up my 2004 Tacoma Truck, and I didn't realize how much air was not getting to the engine before.
My truck is much more responsive to accelerating and just sounds good.
Installation was easy as I had to remove part of the old air intake to change the spark plugs, and being a truck there was no need to remove the bumper. Took maybe an hour and a half as I took pictures along the way and was in no rush, could have otherwise done it in 30-45 minutes." —Joshua H from Socorro, NM bought an Injen Power-Flow Cold Air Intake System for a 2004 Toyota Tacoma, 2.7L 4-cyl. engine.
"I had a K&N CAI on my Tacoma which constantly made my air sensor covered in oil and made my engine light go off. I was sick of it and the shop guys told me to look into AEM oil free. I did, ordered it, and have been impressed. MPG? 1-3 gain from stock. Power wise? Seems to be a little smoother acceleration, around ten hp gain, if anything I got more power from my K&N. Little louder exhaust noise from my K&N and changed the tone a little. Would def buy this one. AEM>K&N. Looks way sicker too." —Dallin H from Layton , UT bought an AEM Brute Force Air Intakes for a 2004 Toyota Tacoma, 3.4L V6.
"Install was very straightforward. Overall fit and finish is superb. AFE makes the best cold air intakes around." —Jason B from Zephyr Cove, NV bought an aFe Cold Air Intakes for a 2004 Toyota Tacoma, 3.4L V6.
