Nice Finishing touch

Love these Rails on my 2014 Tundra. Glad I opted for the "boss" rails with the larger diameter tubes. They really fill the space nicely and The cutouts at each end are both practical for tie downs and a sleek look. This is one of the best after market accessories sites I ve found. easy to deal with.Fast shipping (FREE!) only gave this a 4 star on price cause they seemed expensive, but worth all of it and once their paid for I wont care so much...defiantly not the $150.rails you see advertised

Adding Class

These bright, sturdy and large sized locker rails really set-off the black truck's appearance. The only thing I might change would be the hard rubber gasket which fits the mount at the truck's stake holes. The rubber is so hard that it sets up just a smidgen uneven as opposed to lying completely flat, which, I think, a softer material would do.

Love - Em

I had the Boss Locker rails on my 04 Chev also & loved them so when I bought my 2012 King Ranch there was no question as to what kinda a rails were going on it, the only thing negative I can say is this pair came with bolts that were a hair short of being able to screw into the metal plates below the rubber expansion blocks & had to special order 1/2" longer bolts to be able to install the rails at an additional cost of $35.

Falls short of expectations

I'm not a review guy, this is my first. You need to know this. First the ends are chrome the the center is stainless steel. A distinct Color difference. The Chrome plated ends our not on the inside, A lack of the detail. The bolts are too short for installation. I have bed caps that are only A quarter of an inch and the bolts were not long enough. Really, you could not have made the bolts A half an inch longer. Anyway, I did not get this product good ratings because I would have expected more.

Putco Boss Side Bed Rails '04 F150

Very nice addition to the truck. The thicker Boss rails give it a Stronger look over standard size rails. I have a standard roll up tonneau cover and with these thicker rails it fits perfectly in between the rails when rolling up. If you have a different tonneau cover that may be a bit wider it may not work with these rails. The only reason I gave the installation 4 stars was because the allen wrench method takes forever to tighten down. Using a drill and an allen bit makes it much easier.

Flimsy Rail

Paid big money for a flimsy product, Not an easy install on my 2014 RAM 1500. Not an easy pop in product as stated, Plastic Cover or in my case an aluminum Top Cover needs to be trimmed to allow the rubber expansion plug (a joke) to expand. Also needed to trim down expansion plug to get a more positive fit. Item does locks in place but if wiggled back and forth can be pulled out of stake pocket. Not tight at all. They are purely cosmetic and do look good, but do not tie a rope on these!

Don't cut rubbers

I am very pleased with the appearance of the rails installation was a little tricky the rubbers seem to be too long for the bolts but if you squish them a little bit you can get the nut on and believe me you will want the complete rubber in order to get a snug fit in the pocket.also there was room for me to fit a bak flip tonneau cover on the truck.

Look great, pita F150 short box

F150 short box does not have cutouts on top of box rails. You need to find the center of the stake pocket holes (blindly) and cut your own holes. Took a couple hours, but they look mint. High quality and I have a backflip tri-fold and it just fits. Lots of positive compliments. Found item on competetor site and AA beat their competitors. Every item I bought from AA has been hassle free and free shipping. Highly reccomend these rails and Auto Anything in general.

Good looks, terrible design

The way these rails attach is completely ridiculous. The rails did not mount firmly to my truck. The instructions are awful. The washer broke trying to tighten them up. Putco would not accept a return because they were "used". I pleaded Autoanything to convince them, which they did, but I'm still faced with a 15% restocking fee. I'm going to chuck the blocks and find my own way to attach the rails. I haven't found anything else with this diameter. They'll look amazing... someday.

These railings look great!

They are heavy duty looking, bright and shiny, and the important openings on each end will be great for securing loads.

A lot of money for the amount of scratches!

Look good from a distance, a lot of scratches on the end caps that I will have to try to polish out myself. Expected a lot better quality for $400.00. Not worth the hassle of shipping them back to hope for better quality.

Enhance truck appearence

Purchased to upgrade my 2010 Ford F150 4x4. Received order quickly instructions could be a little better as gasket did not cover stake holes. But after trying install 3 times I had it figured out. Drill hole in orginal stakehole cap and install with supplied gasket. They look really sharp.

Nice

The rails are great, and the tie down ends are extremely heavy duty. Excellent. Did not like the expandable rubber mounts included with the kit. A universal "one size fits all", I did not feel they would provide a solid mount. So, I was able to track down a set of Dodge truck mounts (bolt on connections vs rubber mounts), and made them connect to the Putco rails. This is now bullet proof. I have this on a Dodge truck with a Backflip F1 bed cover as well. Tight fit, but works well.

Bed Rails

Love the bed rails! They have a big chunky look that no other rail system does. Only complaint is that they took too long to ship.

BOSS LOCKER SIDE RAILS

Look real nice on my 2011 Chevy 2500HD. They are a little bigger than I expected but look great. The directions could be a little better on the assembly of the bolt to rubber assembly. If you have the black piece that goes between the box and tie down piece the rubber is to long to get together. It can be done but is a real pain. Directions do not state which way they go and my thinking was to have the square raised part of the black spacer down to painted part of the box thinking it would keep the insert square in the box stake hole and that did not work. After I got that issue behind me it went real smooth.
