The original plastic tailgate cap was looking bad from ten years of use and sun in Florida. The new Putco cap looks great and installed in half hour. We will see how long it lasts?

This tailgate cap fit my truck perfectly and took no more than 10 minutes to install. It has a great finish just a bit darker than i was expecting but overall it seems to be great quality.

Need some time to see how the finish holds up, but so far the thing seems great. Much more durable and better looking than the factory plastic cap.

It fit horribly out of the box. 3/8 to 1/2 inch gap between tailgate and cap. I had to reform with considerable effort and then only fit adequately after I tore off the plastic cap, which was not in the instructions. Very disappointed and really how hard can it be the make a cap that fits the F150? There a gizzilion of them. Now that it is on, looks OK, but would not do it again. In hind sight I should have just gone to ford and got a new plastic cap to replace the scratched one...

I am pleased with my purchase, i had to look high and low inorder to find this guard, as far as i can tell Putco is the only maker of this for a Ford truck, my next purchase will be the side bed guards, thanks

This product looks nice from afar but upon a closer look will reveal that the quality and fit are not up to the task of really protecting the gate. I'm almost certain that my ramps will dent this guard the first time I use them.
