My 08 ram 1500 4x4 hemi sport model had the rear spoiler on the tail gate. After I removed it and put on the Dee Zee, the lip didn't extend far enough to cover the 4 screw holes. So....I screwed in the Dee Zee, which fit fine. And then I put the spoiler on top of the Dee Zee, and screwed it back on, using the existing holes. Looks pretty good! That Dee Zee is solid enough to take a beating.

Dee zee tail gate protector looks great, was easy to install just worried how it will look once it gets alittle scratched up being black powder coated!

Nice item. Needs more predrilled attaching points. It should be about an inch and a half longer and wrap over the tailgate cap further down. All in all not wonderful but very nice.

We were disappointed at how thin this "protector" is and feel the thickness or gage should have been in the item description. It arrived with two dents from the strapping material on the box for shipping. Dented awful easy but we did get it straightened out. The black is beautiful just hope it doesn't scratch off easily.

not only protects the tailgate, but allows easier platform to slide stuff into the bed. I used rivets instead of the screws supplied.

You'd think I had both my kids banging trash can lids together in the back of my truck with the amount of racket. Fixed it (and a lot of possible damage to my paint, I reckon) with a couple of well placed pieces of Dynamat.

Came with a ding in the top and the wrong installation instructions, and no adhesive strip. took the ding out and I like the protector fine.
