Unless you're dealing with a crook carrying a plasma cutter, the Saris Locking Cable has the strength to stop all but the most determined outlaws. Saris braids each cable into a 10mm rope of stainless steel, delivering both backbone and weather protection. And since it measures in at a full 8' in length, you get plenty of slack to loop it around a couple of bicycles, a signpost and that park bench.
Perfect for anchoring your two-wheelers to your hitch-mounted bike rack, a stationary rack or even a parking meter, the Saris Bike Cable Lock works wherever you go. They're built with pride here in the U.S.A. and backed by a Lifetime Warranty.

But this cable lock seems to be the next best thing. If I can only bring one cable lock with me during my short bike trips, this would be it. But I still recommend combining this cable lock with a U-lock. This cable lock is one of the top 5 recommended cable locks (read it somewhere online). Thank you, AutoAnything.com for making this available online (since for some reason, I usually don't get good basic service in brick & mortar retail stores). -Paige's husband

This will stop any thief that can just come by take someting of value. The problem with some reviews that I saw was that they would complain when somebody cut their cable ! My cable cutter can cut virtually ANYTHING so is not a good review if somebody used one on this cable lock. Bad reviews are worthless.
