I bought the Street Scene Speed Grille for my 01 Tundra because I had never seen one on that kind of vehicle before and it set mine apart. When I got the grille I was surprised that it was so light; at only 3-4 pounds it not going to take a beating like the stock grille. The one thing that I was not ready for was that I had to do some painting of the stock grille. The center chrome bar that is found on the older Tundra's has to be painted black because the Street Scene Speed Grille goes over it and does not replace it. And when you are close to it you can see the stock grille through it. But I suppose that is probably common to most after market grilles. The painting was easy but very time consuming so be prepared for at least an hour of 2-3 coats. After the painting the instillation was a pain because the directions were less than specific. Granted they show you where to use the fasteners they provide but it does not tell you how to connect them which I of course messed up on. I would give that because I am not a savvy person when it comes to mechanical know-how I would say that this would rate at about a 4 on a scale of 10 in difficulty of instillation.
