Well worth the money!

The grille looks great and was easy to install! The only problem I had was the installation screws were way too long!

Wouldn't buy again!

I should have listened to the negative reviews. I had planned on poor instructions and having to make modifications, but it was a PIA. Had to go to the hardware store twice and up close, the bolts I used are clearly visible. The product is also not what I expected based on the pictures. The choices you get in the checkout option don't explain, or give you pictures of how the grill will truly look. It does dress up the grill a little bit, but not the quality, or look I had intended. I probably would have returned it, but I drilled holes in the existing grill and didn't want to go through the hassel of returning. Next time I will buy a different brand, full replacement grill and pay the extra money. Sort of disappointed with this site for not having better pictures of end product.

Piece of JUNK!

I own a auto body shop. We purchased this to replace a different band that was no longer available. Does not match what is pictured here or on Putco's website. States that you install without drilling or cutting. Not even close. aftee having to drill holes in the grille, we had to cut the screws, then cut supports of the header panel, and then drill more holes for clearance if you install the side vents. Overall I was completely dissatisfied. Customer was pleased with the look.

A new face!

The look of a billet grill gives a truck the distinct look of class combined with ruggedness. Chrome makes it "POP"!!!

not a bad purchase

The only issue was the wing nuts that it came with made it very difficult to install. The two lower studs were close to other parts of the original grille and there was not enough room to turn the wing nuts. I got the top two snug and it is very secure, but i will have to go buy two regular style nuts to get the bottom secure.

Easiest add-on ever

I HAD REPAINTED THE MESH FLAT BLACK SO IT WAS A SIMPLE MATTER OF POSITIONING AND TIGHTENING 4 BOLTS, SIMPLE. LOOKS GREAT, A LITTLE PRICEY, BUT THE QUALITY IS WORTH THE MONEY. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS GRILL TO ANYONE.

Putco Shadow Billet Grill, 73142

I recently purchased and installed this grille on my 2008 F150, factory honeycomb grille, covering logo. The good: It looks fairly good, price was fairly low, and the installation did not require removal/modification of the factory grille. The not so good: The grille bolts through your factory grille to plates that are provided. The plates were too long, and couldn't be installed without cutting 2" from each plate and drilling new holes. Also, the bolts are about 3" longer than they need to be. Not impressed for a grille kit supposedly "designed" to be installed on my truck. Bottom line: Cheap, decent looks, but be sure to have a hacksaw and a drill.

Very Pleased !!!!

I've got grills for the fog lamps , ( awesome ),grill for thetop grill, ( great ), and the grills for the center of bumper, awesome too, but on the bumper grills there should be two supporting mounts do to road vibrations tend to make the grills move out of place, slightly , but still they're great.............jaw..

Paint issue

after having my grill for 5 months the black paint started to come off the fins on the grill, not happy. I called to express my disatisfaction with this product and was afforded the opportunity to return it for a new one, too soon to tell if this is going to be a recurring problem, hope not I really like the look.

Billet Grille

We like the looks of the grill on our truck but the only thing is where they chromed it they missed several spots. There are black spots on several of the inserts that were suppose to have been chrome. We didn't return it because it would have been too much a hassle plus cost us even more.

Nice bolt on grille

The grille itself is very well made and looks great on my 2003 Chevy truck. A few things to note: 1. Only the front edge (face) of the grille is polished. Everything else if black. 2. You REALLY need to paint the factory grill black before you bolt this over the front. If not, you can see the factory grille behind the billet. 3. Take your time and make sure you center the billet grille in your factory opening. Overall good product!

this billet grille was a great buy, not very expensive, and looks awesome on the truck, the instructions i tossed to the side cuz it wanted me to do several steps that wernt necessary to install, and since im a mechanic installation was a piece of cake, overall great buy

My Durango Upgrade

The Putco Shadow Billet Grille really made a big difference to the look of my SUV.The installation was a little difficult because of the tight space between the radiator and the grille. But if you take off the top mounting bolts and the clips to the grille,it makes it alot easier.Overall I love the way my SUV looks,it went from Plain Jayne to Stylin' and Profilin'.Just check out the before and after pictures to see for yourself.
