Frequently Asked Questions

Will the rotors rust?
All "swept surfaces" of any steel based rotor will rust, however non friction surfaces will maintain a Silver Zinc-Dichromate coating for maximum protection against rust and corrosion. These typically will look great for years.

What's the advantage of a drilled rotor?
The basic idea is to vent gas away and renew the pad surface to prevent pad glazing which could otherwise have a negative affect on performance.

What's the warranty?
2 Years

Can I turn or resurface these rotors?
Sure, you can turn or resurface these rotors as long as they are still within their minimum thickness specification, noted on the perimeter of the rotor. We don’t recommend turning rotors unless you absolutely don’t have another choice. You lose thermal capacity making them prone to "warp" again that much sooner, plus the hassle of the labor involved to remove the rotors in the first place with no guarantees of a "fix".

Are the rotors balanced?
Yes, they are balanced to ensure smooth operation and rotation

Excellent rotor, horrible to brake in

Took me 15 miles and almost an hour to properly seat in. The rotors themselves are excellent and really got my car to stop better. Best rotors for the money

Brembo Sport Drilled Rotors/Hawk HPS Pads Combined for superior

I recently had the Brembo Rotors and Hawk Pads noted in the title installed in my 14 year old,2000 Pontiac Grand Am GT w 195,000 miles on it. THe braking is very strong, smooth, vibration free and quiet with little dust. The stopping power and control are noticeably better than when I drove it home from the dealer in April of 2000.

2008 Acura TL Type S Brembo Sport Drilled Rotors

I just installed these on my 2008 Acura TL Type S and they look great. Only have a few hundred miles on them so far but they seem to be top notch. I'll have to see where they are after 20K miles to make a full assessment. So far so good.

Had a problem with warped stock rotors. The Brembos are great looking and vary smooth so far. Only time and miles will tell.

Peace of cake!!!

Installation was easy, but I have to wait a couple weeks to fully break them in.... So i can give a good review but after reading at the rest of the reviews here I have no doubt in my mind that there will be any problems.

Great Rotors

The Brembo rotors were easy to install and a direct replacement of OEM rotors. They looked significantly better and more importantly, perform extremely well.

Brembro Drilled Rotors

Haven't had them on long enough to tell if they are any better than stock rotors. I'll be running a road course at the end of Aug. so I'll find out then. I'm disappointed that Brembro does not sell their 2 piece rotors seperately. So I settled for these on my 2011 Camaro SS II.

Brembo Sport Drilled Rotors

Keep the drilled rotors for the rear wheels only. Definitely no for track use. Even though Brembo rotors can tolerate high temperature, if they are installed for the front wheels, they show cracks after few times of track days.
