Frequently Asked Questions

Will the rotors rust?
All "swept surfaces" of any steel based rotor will rust, however non friction surfaces will maintain a black coating for maximum protection against rust and corrosion. These typically will look great for years.

What's the advantage of a slotted or drilled rotor?
The basic idea is to vent gas away and renew the pad surface to prevent pad glazing which could otherwise have a negative affect on performance.

What's the warranty?
90 days from the date of purchase or for 3,000 miles of use of the product, whichever occurs first

Can I turn or resurface these rotors?
Sure, you can turn or resurface these rotors as long as they are still within their minimum thickness specification, noted on the perimeter of the rotor. We don’t recommend turning rotors unless you absolutely don’t have another choice. You lose thermal capacity making them prone to "warp" again that much sooner, plus the hassle of the labor involved to remove the rotors in the first place with no guarantees of a "fix".

Are the rotors balanced?
Yes, they are balanced to ensure smooth operation and rotation

Notes:
  • Rotors should always be replaced in pairs (one left side and one right side) for maximum safety and effectiveness. Single rotor replacement is highly discouraged.

Great price, and stylish rotor

Used this rotor for a conversion system from an Honda S2000 into an Acura Rsx brembo BBK. Rotor stays extremely cool under braking, no discoloration or fading and so far has lived up to the ratings.

Good for the price

This is a great rotor for the price. I put them on my 06 charger and can really feel the difference from the stock rotor. They look great on to. I rated them 3 star on because they still rust.

C-Tek is G-Great!

Just installed new c tek rotors on the front of my 2001 toyota sequoia. This model is notorious for warping the front rotors as Toyota engineers missed the correct application. They should have utilized bigger calipers and rotors for this model. The c tek rotors, being drilled and slotted, should perform at a lower temp and reduce the cause for rotor warpage.

Decent Rotors

These rotors are pretty decent. The surface polish, when new, is actually mat, like shown on the picture, unlike slippery shiny polish. The rotors come with L and R stickers, indicating left and right, but the grooves between surfaces are radial, therefor the direction is only the direction of holes and slits (which in my opinion is personal preference). The rotors (at least for my car) have additional hole for the screw to remove them when they are stuck to the hub - this usually comes handy.
