"Too much hassle to list here. Constant mix ups and shipping delays, finally forced to pay extra for airfreight to meet installation deadline. Would NEVER repeat this buying experience." —Nick S from Earlysville, VA bought a StopTech SportStop Slotted Brake Rotors for a 2004 Chevy Silverado.
"Put the Power Stop Brake kit on my Silverado with 22 inch wheels. I have noticed increased stopping power and better pedal feel. They look great behind my wheels." —Jack H R from Wilson, NC bought a Power Stop Brake Kit for a 2004 Chevy Silverado.
"It's a relatively generic kit, but the components in it are useful, comes with washers, one bracket (needs 2 depending on application), banjo bolts (aluminum which is a terrible choice), and zip ties. The zip ties hold my abs lines well, but they only come with one placement brackets, even though my truck needed 2 per side, not a big deal no binding either way. As for the aluminum bolts, go out and get some steel ones from your local parts store, the first bolt I put in snapped off almost immediately due to poor quality of the bolt.
As for the performance, I had a large improvement of pedal feel in the midrange of braking which is great considering I live in a hilly area and there is little to no uneven braking from the lines expanding like the rubber ones. Overall, I'd say buy it, but be careful and plan out how you will route the lines and buy steel banjo bolts." —Andrew B from Chantilly, VA bought a StopTech Stainless Steel Brake Line Kit for a 2004 Chevy Silverado, 1500.
"great tool to have in the box when you need brake or clutch work. no need for second person! (except maybe to bring yoy an adult beverage)..lol" —Danny D from Viper, KY bought a Phoenix Systems V-12 Reverse Brake Bleeder Kit for a 2004 Chevy Silverado.
"I had my EBC Rotors installed the same day that I received them. I have about 400 miles on the new EBC Sport Rotors and the Green Supreme 7000 brake pads. I think that these brakes are great. I can barely tap the brakes and my 2004 Lifted Chevy Silverado begins to slow down very quickly. At times they are a little noisy, but I read other reviews and most of them say that this is normal for the first 1,000 miles or so. I would definitely recommend these brakes to others." —Ronnie W from Greenville, SC bought an EBC Sport Rotors for a 2004 Chevy Silverado.
"Easy to install, car stops on a dime now. At first they were a bit noisy, but wore in after a few stops and are completely quiet. Good quality pads...I recommend them." —James H from Cameron, NC bought a Hawk HPS Brake Pads for a 2004 Chevy Silverado.
"I do not know why I waited so long to purchase them. A MUST for vehicles with large rims...caliper looks more proportional with 17"-22" wheels. Not only that, keeps your rims clean and free of brake dust. Plus, the covers help keep the brakes from overheating. Best of ALL...they look great!!!" —Scott M from Hamilton City, CA bought a MGP Brake Caliper Covers for a 2004 Chevy Silverado, 1500, light-duty.
"Put new rotors & brakes on the front of my truck. They help stop, but now I realize that the back brakes & rotors are shot, so I am going to have to order a set for the rear. After that I will be able to give a better overall review." —Jason S from Fresno, OH bought a Power Stop Brake Kit for a 2004 Chevy Silverado.
"These brakes look fantastic on my Silverado SS, but don't stop nearly as hard as I expected. I expected a substantial improvement over the stock 2 piston brakes, but didn't see it. It may be the fault of the rest of the GM brake system - not really sure though! After spending over $1000, not sure it was the best use of the money!
Also, in order to get everything to quit leaking, I had to purchase new brakes lines. Since the ends had some corrosion, they wouldn't seal to the new caliper kit - just something unexpected!" —Jonathan B from Columbus, OH bought a SSBC Quick Change Calipers for a 2004 Chevy Silverado.
