Frequently Asked Questions

Will the rotors rust?
All "swept surfaces" of any steel based rotor will rust, however non friction surfaces will maintain a thermic black coating for maximum protection against rust and corrosion. These typically will look great for years.

What's the advantage of a slotted rotor?
The basic idea is to vent gas away and renew the pad surface to prevent pad glazing which could otherwise have a negative affect on performance.

What' the warranty?
Six months from date of purchase or 10,000 miles of highway use, whichever comes first

Can I turn or resurface these rotors?
Sure, you can turn or resurface these rotors as long as they are still within their minimum thickness specification, noted on the perimeter of the rotor. We don’t recommend turning rotors unless you absolutely don’t have another choice. You lose thermal capacity making them prone to "warp" again that much sooner, plus the hassle of the labor involved to remove the rotors in the first place with no guarantees of a "fix".

Are the rotors balanced?
Yes, they are balanced to ensure smooth operation and rotation

Great rotors for a great price!

I've used their slotted rotors for 50k miles, and they would've gone much longer! Sure these will do just as well

Excellent quality rotors

I bought a pair of EBC front brake rotors for my wife's 2013 Acura MDX. These were not the cheapest rotors, but still less expensive than OEM. The casting quality and vane design of the EBC rotors vs. the warped Centric rotors (lasted 15k miles) was obvious when comparing the two. I'm hoping these EBC rotors will give us a few years of warpage free service, time will tell. Centric rotors have always held up very well for me on other cars but on a big heavy SUV they warped too quickly.

Great rotors

I've had these on my car over 2 years now and they have performed great. The install was easy. There were no instructions regarding the black coating. Turns out you don't have to remove the black coating. Once you using the rotors, the black will wear off through the braking process.

Excellent product, easy to install, great upgrade

Best way to upgrade your brakes is to install better rotors and pads. EBC is the only brand I use for all of my vehicles. This is the third vehicle now running with EBC brakes. Shorter stopping distances and better wear.

EBC Premium Rotors

Nice looking black rotors. Purchased EBC Red Stuff brake pads and they work the best together. Soft on the pedal but only a little pressure and they bite for a quick brake!

Better than OEM I think.

I didn't install them, but my mechanic says he really was impressed. Brakes work super after installation, no noise, no pulling, good feel to the brake pedal,

Just great rotors

I don't know what can you say about break rotors if you're putting them on a daily driver car. They work. Nice and quiet. No issues. Smooth breaking, no vibration. Just a pair of great rotors.

Good rotors

The installation has instructions not to use and brake cleaner on the rotors. After a few braking sessions, the rotors surface where the pads make contact cleaned up the anti rust coating. Traditional rotors are wiped down with a rag and breaks cleaner, but the EBC specifically states not to. Good Luck.

Great rotors.

Have used OEM, Brembo, and Cryostop rotors in the past. These are by far the best I've used. They are solid stopping, don't warp, and quiet. Will definitely use these again!

Exellent Rotor.

I bought this for My Honda Odyssey on June, 2018. So far it is working great, much better than the previous rotor I purchase locally which start vibrating in a couple month. This EBC Rotor is very stable and quiet. So far 5 stars.

Fantatstic Brake Rotors

I have a 2008 Honda Civic which had a noticeable squeaking noise on the front driver's side whenever I stepped on the brakes. The steering wheel also wobbled left to right whenever I was coming to a rapid stop. Both the problems disappeared after my mechanic applied the new EBC brake rotors. The new rotors have been on the car since July 18, 2018 and I could not be any happier. My stops are very smooth and quiet now. Being a retiree I am very picky on good service and quality products.
