There is always an opportunity to improve your brake system. Whether you are upgrading your car brakes to race spec, or towing trailers as big as a house, brakes can always use improvements. Our brake systems are made specifically for your car or truck. This makes the job easy with minimal headaches. We offer improved brake rotors with drilled and slotted modifications. Choose between brake pad materials that give you that extra bite. There are heavy duty truck brakes that help slow your truck and trailer down safely. These truck brake kits are made specifically to prevent premature wear, fading, and overheating.

Brakes, Rotors & Pads In-depth

Most OEM brake rotors are your basic disc of metal made for you to stop in an acceptable amount of time and distance. If you are content with that, we offer OEM replacement rotors that are budget friendly for your vehicle. Dissatisfied, and need some more braking power? Upgrade those rotors with either slotted or drilled brake rotors to help dissipate heat. Slotted brake rotors are ready for the racecar or towing machine in your life. They do a great job dissipating heat away from the wheel to optimize efficiency and life. Drilled rotors do a great job of dissipating heat without breaking the bank. These rotors are built to last, they’re coated to prevent rust, and are built in spec of your vehicle. This means no special installation is needed!

The main component of a brake system are the brake pads. They are the workhorse of the system. The OEM brake pad your car comes with are more than enough for the average driver. But, let’s face it, we all want more power when possible. Upgrading your brake pads can benefit you with everything from stopping power, reduced noise, reduced brake dust, and reduced heat and wear. There are a few different materials brake pads come in; ranging from soft organic materials, to high performance carbon ceramic. You will most likely come across two: Semi-metallic ceramic. Semi-metallic provide great heat resistance, and strong overall performance. Their material gives you more strength for heavy duty and performance braking, but will give off some brake dust and noise. Ceramic brakes are the best pads for someone looking to reduce brake noise and dust on their car. These will cost the most on average, and do not dissipate heat as well at the semi-metallic brethren.

We here at AutoAnything can provide all the parts and tools you need to get the job done at your home for the right price. We have a wide selection of brake fluids for every application. Rotors and brake pads are a vital part of your car or truck. Whether you need OEM replacements, or an upgrade on stopping power, we have everything you need under one roof. Still lost, and all this information is moving too fast? Pump the brakes and read up on our buying guide on car brakes.

CURT Venturer Brake Controller

Controller

I have used autoanything several times in the past and am always amazed at their selection of auto parts. My old controller quit working so I updated to a new one. It works great and installation was seamless. View more reviews...

CURT Echo Brake Controller

Skepticle

I was a little skeptical on how well it would work, but it literally took 2 mins to hook up (mostly because I didn't know the PIN number was under the cover) and away I went. If I can find one thing wrong, and I'm stretching, it's that once your vehicle shuts off, you have to turn the controller back on from your phone when you start it. So that takes some getting used to. Other that that, awesome View more reviews...

Motorsports for the Masses: Getting Started in RallyCross

CASCADE, MONTANA It’s a blustery day in Montana east of the Continental Divide. But that’s normal. All winter the wind runs hard down the Rocky Mountains and across the wide unbroken plains, scouring the landscape. Where the wind stops I don’t know – there’s not much between here and the Atlantic – but where I’m […] The post Motorsports for the Masses: Getting Started in RallyCross appeared first on AutoAnything Resource Center.
