Frequently Asked Questions

What brake pad compound is used?
Entry level endurance compound

How much dust do the brake pads create?
Medium

Is hardware included?
Basic shim plates and pad backing paste

How hard are they to install?
Varies by application, but removal of calipers is required. Having a caliper piston compressing tool is very helpful. Remove some fluid from your brake fluid reservoir to prevent overflowing. Fresh fluid and flush is recommended.

Are they loud, or do they produce noise?
Noise when cold is not uncommon given the nature of the higher coefficient of friction found in these track pads. Once up to temp, they are typically quiet.

Auto Anything and Hawk Blues Rock!!!

I've been racing my MGB for several years on the Hawk Blues. Have never had an issue with them. The compound will stop you and do not wear out much under heavy race braking and a LOT of heat. Highly recommend Auto Anything and Hawk Blues. They shipped fast and came at the best price I have ever paid for the Blues.

Hawk Blue / Chumpcart

We use these on our BMW chumpcar. They give us best braking for over the 9 hour race that we run. We usually by 2 sets for the weekend when we run 16 hours.

Hawk Blue for track BMW

Considered old school by some with the newer Hawk compounds out these day. I still like them and get great performance from them.

Hawk Blues For The Track

Have a MK2 VW Scirocco track car built to SCCA H Production specs. The Hawk Blue pads provide good stopping power and decent life - all at a reasonable price. Have used them for years with very consistent results.
