Frequently Asked Questions

Whats the advantage of two piece rotor?
Two piece rotors are far lighter than their single cast counterparts. They also allow better heat contraction of the rotor ring, and in some cases better air flow through the rotor for better heat dissipation. Touring kits usually use 1 piece rotors which are perfectly fine for touring where you're not likely to use the vehicle for heavy duty track use but want better brakes.

What's the advantage of having more pistons in the caliper?
Generally speaking, having a greater number of pistons allows better control of hydraulic pressure exactly where you want it, spread properly across greater surface area on the back of the brake pad. This promotes even pad wear and fantastic brake pedal modulation and feel.

Is hardware included?
Yes all required hardware is included: New caliper carriers to properly mount the caliper, brake lines, pads, rotors

How hard are they to install?
Calipers can be tricky without the right tools. Having a breaker bar and hooks to support the caliper until its fully mounted are handy. Always pump the brakes before test driving.

Are they loud, or do they produce noise?
Very minimal noise is produced over stock
