CTEK was established in 1997 as part of the company, Creator Teknisk Utveckling AB. Creator had history in battery systems steming back as early as 1982. The two had been working to perform research and development of batteries using and developing state of the art smart charging systems that met the needs of newer, evolving battery types. Based on the research they had performed, CTEK had learned that their battery charging and maintenance technologies could be employed around the world and represented a great business opportunity to offer these systems and components to end consumers. What they have today are a series of components and chargers that represent the latest in charging technology for improved battery life and maintenance.
