The mate finish looks great. I did come close to returning it because the two metal brackets that go on the ends to hold the guard from rubbing onto the hood did not fit correctly. They are suppose to slip onto the lip of the bumper and grip (stay in palace). My 2017 Colorado has a foam sealant under the lip of the hood that pushes the bracket back out. It also came with a noticeable scratch, I let that pass because I know rocks on the highway will eventually make some scratches anyways.

I bought the matte black EGR deflector because I thought it would match the other black plastic on my Jeep better than a transparent shield. It looks good. Unfortunately, mine came out of the box slightly warped. There is a wave in the plastic on the driver's side that has not improved after installation. It could not have been easier to install. Very simple. I can't give a better rating due to the quality control issue.

Timely delivery, easy installation, a bit pricey , but looks and performs awesome! Only complaint is that the EGR emblem isn't staying stuck in place. Same thing on my matching EGR rain guards. Other than that, they give my 2018 firecracker red Jeep Wrangler an awesome look. Tim

The hood shield looks great on the truck. Gives the front end a tough appearance. However the EGR logo came off when I removed the protective plastic shipping material from the shield. Installation on a 2500 requires metal clips attached to the hoods outer edge. EGR provides a plastic film which you install before the clips, but installing the clips over the film required the use of a rubber mallet. I'm hoping the hood is not damaged when someday in the future the hood shield is removed.
