Unless you're moving BIG, heavy equipment in the cargo area (like electric motors, engines, WWII naval mines) this thing will handle most any abuse. It is foam but the top has a pretty rugged layer on it, so it dampens sound too. A little trimming may be necessary but it installed in a few minutes. Worth the money.

I received and installed the bed liner. At first I was a bit apprehensive as how light this thing was when it arrived. I thought it would be heavier due to the rubber but it is actually made of a really dense foam. Mine looks like the one in the picture after installed. Looks and feels great. My old bed liner was paper thin and you could not even kneel down inside the cabin but this bed liner is very well padded. Good luck

It does help a bit with the noise and it did fit pretty well. As far as a skid free surface, it's almost as slippery as the metal van floor. Maybe with some time and some heat it will soften up a little. In the meantime I bought some non skid material that's made to go under rugs to keep them from slipping.

My first van came with a stock rubber mat. You can feel all of the lumpiness of the floor through it. The bed rug conforms to those grooves and has more padding. I looked into getting an OEM cargo mat. It was over $400, very happy with my choice.
