We at Flex-a-lite have been leading the way in cooling product technology for over 40 years. The brand name "Flex-a-lite" serves, the passenger car, or automotive aftermarket, with belt-driven engine cooling fans, electric fans, transmission and engine oil coolers. The brand name "FAL" offers the same products to the younger sport compact market, and also offers poly carbonate windows. We designed the first plastic Heavy Duty truck fans in 1968 for Class VI & VIII trucks, and produced the first one-piece plastic truck fan in 1977, followed by the first injection molded truck fans in 1979. In 1978, Flex-a-lite developed the first electric engine cooling fan for the U.S. Aftermarket. In 1982, the company began producing vertical incubator systems for salmon and trout hatcheries worldwide under the brand name "MariSource". We also manufacture various metal and plastic components with high-volume and high tonnage punch presses, precision press brakes of various sizes for local customers.

We sell products globally through distribution channels that are handled by direct sales managers employed at the company who then use manufacturer representatives to augment the sales effort. Fisheries products are sold directly to State and Federal government agencies, truck fans are sold through various distribution channels including Paccar, Freightliner, Volvo, GM, and Navistar.

Flex-a-lite Consolidated encourages and supports community groups as well as industry associations such as SEMA, APAA, HDBF, World Trade Center-Tacoma, Chamber of Commerce, ASQ, APIC'S, and Rotary. In May 1998, Flex-a-lite was awarded the "Outstanding Business of the Year" award by the Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber of Commerce. In October 1998, our owner and President, Rainer O. Willingham was awarded the "Boss of the Year" award by the Fife Chamber of Commerce. Flex-a-lite also was the recipient of SEMA's Manufacturer of the Year award in 1999, and Lisa Chissus, Flex-a-lite General Manager, was awarded the Performance Warehouse Association's "Person of the Year" award in 2001.

Our metal fabrication division and design staff completed a project with the Washington State Historical Museum and Dale Chihuly Studios, volunteering time and materials to build a Mt. Rainier Ice Caves exhibit for the 100th Anniversary celebration of Mt. Rainier National Park. Flex-a-lite's marketing and engineering departments host interns each year.

In 1997, land was purchased in Fife, Washington and our company moved the entire manufacturing plant to our current 65,000 square feet facility. We share a 35,000 square foot outside storage area with our sister company, Cascade Plastics Co., and own 9 adjacent acres for future growth. The location in Fife, Washington (between Tacoma and Seattle) allows easy access to the Port of Tacoma, Interstate 5, SeaTac airport, and railway systems.

How to Return an Item

Step 1: Start a Return from Your Online Account

Please log in to your account. Locate and click on your order under Order History. Find the item you wish to return or exchange and click on Return Item to submit your request.

Step 2: Receive a Return Authorization Number (RMA#)

One of our customer care specialists will provide you with:

An RMA#
An email with detailed return shipping instructions

Step 3: Pack & Ship

Pack everything that came with the product and use its original packaging.

Affix the return shipping label that we provided to the package. If we didn't provide you with a return shipping label, make sure to include the RMA# on the package
Ship the package to the address specified in the email you received from Step 2.
Returns must be sent in within 10 days of shipping label being issued or a new label will need to be issued

Step 4: Receive Your Refund or Exchange

After we receive your package, we'll process your refund or exchange after it has passed inspection. You can expect to see the refund credited within 72 hours after the return has been received to the payment method that you used when you originally placed your order.
Precise timing is subject to your financial institution. If you selected an exchange, we will ship your replacement promptly upon receipt and inspection of your returned item.

Restocking Fees

All returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee.

Defective Product

While we pride ourselves in our partnerships with leading vendors, accidents happen. Call us at (800) 874-8888 option #2 once you've discovered the defect, and we'll straighten it out.

Damaged Product

Occasionally packages in transit can become damaged. Call us right away so we can set it straight.

Incorrect Product

If you've received an incorrect product, or if we've guaranteed fitment on your order, and the product does not fit your vehicle, give us a call at (800) 874-8888 and select option #2, and we'll start the return process for you.

Lost Package

If your tracking information says delivered, but you haven't received your package yet, let us know. We will work with the carrier to get to the bottom of it.

I have not yet gotten to the point of installing this monster of a blade system. Although having opened the box, it does look like it will do the job I want it to. I am impressed, looks good, looks very functional and can't wait to get it in and see it working.

It's amazing how much power you lose with an old mechanical fan. I've noticed a difference in the low end torque of my Dodge Ram since I removed the mechanical fan and replaced it with this fan. The air conditioner also runs quite a bit cooler. There's a reason the 2019 Ram Hemis are going to be coming out with an electrical fan,MORE POWER. I haven't had it long enough to say whether or not it will save on fuel my guess is that I will notice one maybe two miles to the gallon more.

1968 Chevy Nova

Flex-a-Lite Black Magic X-treme S-blade#180. Fan fit like it came from the factory.The engine is a 327/40 over. The fan works GREAT it turns on and off, and cools the motor down.I live in Tucson Az. In the summer the blacktop is about 130 deg.

Quality Electric Cooling Fan

This fan installs and wires in easily. The difference in space between the fan and the front of the motor, versus stock fan and shroud, is incredible. This in itself is worth the cost of the fan. The fan itself operates solidly and keeps my engine running about 5 degrees cooler. The fan is a little on the loud side but this is to be expected with the airflow and doesn't take away from the fan rating.

Well thought out and very easy install

Used on 2001 Silverado to replace fan clutch. All I used for fan clutch removal was a big adjustable wrench and a hard rubber hammer. Yes, it really is that easy. Fan was packaged well and very easy to install. I had a Severe or heavy duty clutch fan on my engine and I freed up a lot of torque that was being robbed by the clutch fan assy. Would recommend this e-fan to anyone. Did a lot of pre-wiring and it sped up actual installation of fan assy. Well thought out and needed product.
