I had previously purchased the smoke bug deflector for my FJ but it seemed to visually block the grill on the front hood so I ended up getting another in clear and what a difference it makes! It gives the car the protection it needs and allows the hood to be seen! It seems every time I go to AutoAnything they are always having a sale and they always seem to have the lowest price around. My truck looks awesome and is also protected and I got a great deal on the deflector!

I was disappointed with the fit. It either rubs on the lower tip of the hood or the top of the grill.I tried by moving back and front but without fixing the situation completely. I think it's because of the radius deflector when it curves from underneath the hood to over the hood. The radius is too large and can't prevent to touch either side. Also the "wing" in the extremities are probably 1/8"too low. They can rub on the top of the side signals on the FJ, when enough wind pressure is present.

I ordered a clear model for a 2012 FJC. First of all, I think autoanything sent me a used Bugflector. The inner bag was open & the plastic was scratched and the AVS sticker was falling off. Next, I found the 3M tape wasn't strong enough to hold it, and there's no way I'm drilling...so I guess it's useless. By the way, for the brief time the 3M tape was holding, it was obvious the piece was not even. The passenger side lined up well, but the drivers side "drooped" over the turn signal. POS
