The deflector sits about an inch forward of the front of the vehicle. The deflector sits off of the hood about two inches. Other models my have more streamlined fit.

Deflector easy to install with slight adjustment. Looks great on vehicle. Haven't gone on a road trip as yet as I just received and installed it yesterday.

Both units were easy to install and the instructions were straightforward. Since installation on the Highlander, we took a 1700 mile vacation and I believe the deflector was the main reason we had very few bugs on the windshield. One rock did hit the windshield, but it was a pretty good size one. I think we would have had more rocks hit the windshield if we didn't have the deflector.

I ordered a clear Bugflector II for my Highlander and it is a perfect fit and looks great! It was very easy to install and I did it in about fifteen minutes. I commute about thirty miles daily, all freeway, and it's already done its job in deflecting not only bugs, but small rocks as well.

This has got to be the best looking bug deflector on the market today. I got the clear one because my vehicle is silver and it looks terrific. The shipping to Hawaii was really expensive otherwise this was a great buy.
