"THE AVS BUGFLECTOR WAS A VERY SIMPLE INSTALL. I DID HAVE TO DRILL A HOLE ON EACH END OF MY TRUCK HOOD (HOLES EXISTING DON'T ALIGN) NOT A BIG DEAL... INSTALLATION COMPLETED BY A JACK OF ALL TRADES AND A MASTER OF NONE." —Nicholas D from East Millinocket, ME bought an AVS Bugflector II for a 2010 Ford F-150, XLT.

"The installation instructions were unclear. As a result, I installed the rear vent visors with the end tabs in the channel. This prevented the window from rolling up. The manufacturer emailed photos which clearly showed my error AND sent me a new set. I recommended they improve the instruction sheet. The vent visors look good and work well when done right." —Morgan B from Silver City, NM bought an AVS In-Channel Ventvisor for a 2010 Ford F-150.

"THE AVS BUGFLECTOR WAS A VERY SIMPLE INSTALL. I DID HAVE TO DRILL A HOLE ON EACH END OF MY TRUCK HOOD (HOLES EXISTING DON'T ALIGN) NOT A BIG DEAL... "This is my 1st deflector. Overall, it was an easy installation but I did have to call the manufacturer because you have to loosen all the nuts and bolts that hold the grill surround to the hood. Once the 3 clips are installed, the deflector snaps on. I really like the look of the EGR deflector and it functions well. I just got back from Florida with all the love bugs down there. It did deflect some (not all) of them. Washing and waxing under the deflector is easy. There is no noise at any speed. I would recommend the Superguard." —George B from Marine City, MI bought an EGR Superguard Hood Shields for a 2010 Ford F-150.

"Easy to install. Instead of the clips supplied with the bug deflector I used double sided tape the entire length of the bud defector, easy to install. The predrilled holes for use under the hood a were perfect fit. Would buy again if I needed to." —Hershel Ray R from Noblesville, IN bought an EGR Superguard Hood Shields for a 2010 Ford F-150, XL.

"Didn't think anything else would make this truck better looking than the Bedrug with a A.R.E. tonneau cover over it but the Lund Interceptor Bug Shield really makes it. Was a little worried about the metal clips on each end of the shield scratching the paint but just doubled up on the protective tape and spread the clips open a little as I slid them in place. Worked great! Maybe a little chrome next time. Thanks Autoanything for the great service you've provided on all my orders." —Kenneth P from Brooksville, FL bought a Lund Interceptor Bug Shield for a 2010 Ford F-150.

"The bug deflector looks really nice with the chrome package on our Ford F150. However it does allow wind to go through the sides and it makes a whistling sound that is some what heard inside the vehicle when driving. In putting the clips on the grille you had to loosen the grille quite a bit to get the clips to go behind it, and then we had to ply the grille up with a screw driver to get the clips in place." —Theresa B from Richland, MO bought an EGR Chrome Hood Shields for a 2010 Ford F-150.

"After having to return the first one I ordered because it was cracked...I got it installed on my Black Ford F-150. I have added alot of chrome to the truck and the bug guard matches great and looks great....The only issue is that the middle clip that goes on the grill kept coming off so I just removed it and it seems to be fine and sturdy." —Michael C from Stoughton, MA bought an EGR Chrome Hood Shields for a 2010 Ford F-150, Lariat.

"It is much more sleek and form fitting than bug deflectors that I have purchased in the past. Other than the color difference it blends in with the lines of the front end so that you can barely notice it. Hopefully it still deflects bugs. Second pair of hands would make installation easier but OK with one if you take your time. Be careful, you only get one chance with the installation tape." —Gary S from Ironwood, MI bought an AVS Bugflector II for a 2010 Ford F-150.

"Took about 2 hours to install once I figured out that I had to loosen some attach bolts on grill. Which bolts the challenge the directions could have been much clearer........but then the light went on and the installation was a breeze. Looks great and can't wait till luv bug season to give it the real test. Quick delivery - will order again from Auto anything!" —Craig A from Rockledge, FL bought an EGR Superguard Hood Shields for a 2010 Ford F-150.

"Love the bug guard, looks great on my 2010 F150, installation was a little more difficult than I thought it would be. If you are installing on the 2010 F-150, it's best to have a second person helping you to eyeball the centering of the shield. I was able to do it by myself with a few trial and errors. There are no holes in the hood to put screws in. I had to drill the holes. Suggest that you use self tapping screws. Overall I like the looks of it and would buy another one if needed. Thank You" —Harold B from Niagara, WI bought an AVS Bugflector II for a 2010 Ford F-150.

AVS Windflector

2007 Ford F150

Bought this one to replace a 10 year old deflector that was busted at the car wash. Make sure the surface is clean before installing a new one. The AVS fit perfectly and looks great. View more reviews...

Stampede Wind Tamer Chrome Sunroof Deflectors

Looks beautiful on my 2015 Ford F-150 XLT.

It's really beautiful on my 2015 Ford XLT Supercrew. But really it's 3 1/2 inches too short. The installation was very easy for 1 person to do. I'm pleased with my purchase and Auto Anything for such a great deal. View more reviews...

10 Wind, Bug and Vent Deflectors to Consider in 2020

Get in there. Rub that off-color spot on the leading edge of your hood. As much as you hope it’s going to disappear as you buff harder and harder, it just won’t. That’s a stone chip. And as you inspect more closely, your hood’s paint looks like the surface of the moon. Covered in craters, […] The post 10 Wind, Bug and Vent Deflectors to Consider in 2020 appeared first on AutoAnything Resource Center.
