Description:
Cats may have nine lives, but your stock catalytic converter only has one. When it’s kicked the bucket, steer clear of costly dealerships and pick up a Federal EPA-Compliant Eastern Catalytic Direct-Fit Catalytic Converter instead.

With over 30 years of catalytic converter-building experience under the belt, Eastern Catalytic knows that outrageous prices don’t equal better performance. Each of these products is expertly-engineered with a proprietary blend of catalyst that scrubs away toxins without creating an exhaust flow bottleneck. Your fumes flow right through for maximum performance that’s Mother Nature-approved, too.

Best of all, you don’t have to be a certified welder to install a Direct-Fit Federal EPA-Compliant Eastern Catalytic Converter. Built to factory specs, they simply bolt on in place of your stock cat. Plus, Eastern Catalytic uses only the toughest metals – T-409 stainless for the housing and aluminized steel for any piping. Cutting and welding is required for installation of universal cats like this one – we recommend you get it done by a professional. To top it off, your Eastern Catalytic Direct-Fit Catalytic Converter (Federal EPA-Compliant) is covered by a 5-year/50,000-mile warranty.

Did not fit and not solid.

These were not close to fitting. The bends on the driver's bank were wrong and it wouldn't mount, sensor holes were out of position as well. The pre-cats on both banks were too large to allow for the heat shield to be reinstalled. The quality of the welds was not what I expected there were a couple of joints on these that flexed.

Good as any on the market

My Eastern converter turned out to be a great selection. I saved a ton of money compared to Magnaflow or Walker and the quality is as good or better. It was a breeze to install my direct fit, high performance, federally compliant Eastern converter. I would definitely recommend Eastern to anyone.

Easiest installation ever!

I'm one of those crazy people that just can't stand a check engine light! When my catalytic converter failed it did not affect the running of my truck in the least. But that persistent P0420 code drove me crazy. Since this catalytic converter bolts in place and is not welded it was a very easy installation. Hopefully it will last as long as the OEM catalytic converter.

Great catalytic converter

Granted, most won't have to worry about having to replace a catalytic converter. However, if you do, at least AutoAnything.com has you covered with a few options, and their price is seriously next to impossible to beat. This cat converter happened to be on sale, and was actually recommended by the chat rep. Installation was far, far easier than taking off the original one that came with the car.

Good Product

Installation was easy. Only problem was one of the original bolts/nut had to be broken to remove it. New nuts were included but had to buy new bolts. Fit of new parts was perfect making the install a breeze. Would use this product again.

Pleasantly surprised, exceedingly pleased!

First time buyer, certainly not the last time I will buy from AUTO ANYTHING! The fit, ease of installation and overall quality of the ECDfCC was a surprise to myself and my co-workers. Every aspect of the purchase (the ordering, shipping, etc. ) made the whole process a breeze.

Ordering My Catalytic Converter was- "Easy-Peasy"...

Ordering from Auto Anything was easy, fast & just what I needed after being given out-rageous(price)estimates. locally. "Ethan" was very helpful. Put me right on the product I needed. I took the info, chewed on it, called back & placed my order. I added an Oxygen-sensor & Cabin filter to the order, and was set. The Converter & Sensor came w/in 3-days. The Air filter-5. The Converter & Sensor was put on-OFF went the engine light & I had it all done at a FRACTION of the estimates. #VERYSATISFIED

Direct Fit on 2008 Ford FX2

Easier to install than the original was to remove. Seemed a little loose as I installed it. But it held. No leaks and truck sounds like it did when new at 130k miles.

Does the job

Not as sturdy (or heavy) as the OEM, and much thinner pipe walls. But it does the job nicely. Of course, I can't say yet if it will last as well, but then again I don't need it to. The OEM lasted 14 years and 226K miles with occasional off-road abuse. So if this one lasts 6 years and 100K miles it's probably enough to live out the car, and I'll be satisfied with that.
