Description:

Few parts sap performance like a clogged catalytic converter. This extra-critical part scrubs spent exhaust of harmful pollutants before it exits the tailpipe. Inevitably, it becomes clogged or worn-down over time, which leads to sluggish acceleration, poor power and miserable fuel mileage. Replacing a bad catalytic converter often involves a trip to the dealership for an expensive repair, but there’s a far more affordable option – PaceSetter Direct-Fit Catalytic Converters (Federal EPA-Compliant).

These super-scrubbers are the cat’s meow, offering the same fit and performance as your stock converters but at a better price. PaceSetter Direct-Fit Catalytic Converters can be bolted on at your local muffler shop… or in your driveway for massive savings.

To top it all off, these ultra-economical converters are built better than your failure-prone factory units. They’re made from 16-gauge stainless steel for years of rust-free enjoyment. Your PaceSetter Direct-Fit Catalytic Converters (Federal EPA-Compliant) are supported with a 5-year/50,000-mile warranty.

Notes:
  • Laws regarding replacement of catalytic converters are strict and vary by area. Check your local laws for regulations covering catalytic converter installation and replacement.
  • Not available for sale or use in California.

One fit, one did not. Missing parts

My 2002 Toyota Sequoia needed new Catalytic converters to pass emissions inspections. OEM parts were about $4000, so to find a pair of aftermarket replacements for about $400 enabled me to keep my SUV for a few more years. However, my regular shop will not install aftermarket parts. Why? I found out why, one part fit fine. The other did not, it took hours and hours of heating and bending to get it to fit. ALSO, the gasket kit was also missing, so I had to go buy another set.

Excellent price but you need to buy gaskets separately

I got these at $119/ea. Mechanic did a nice job. Flages were very rusted so I let him have the headache. Perfect fit.

The description says it all.

I had both cats replaced at the same time by a professional mechanic. He remarked at the fit, quality and factory appearance of the Pacesetters. The install took less than 2 hours and no more P0420. I also noted a better sounding exhaust note. Thanks Autoanything.

Good, but it needs a little tweak

I installed this, along with a set of PaceSetter shorty headers. I love the two piece design for the collectors, because it made it so much easier to line up and install the pipes under the truck. My gripe is that PaceSetter products don't fit together that well. The flare on the collectors of the catalytic converter were too small for the outlet end of the headers, from the very same brand. I was able to flare the collectors, but shouldn't have had too since they were the same brand and sho

Cat converter

I would have given "Quality" a 5 star rating but I only have it on the car 2 weeks. Too early to honestly rate...

NO MORE P0420 CODE!

I'm not here to persuade any one to use OE parts from the factory, but when your faced with a part that is $1000 from VW and less than $200 aftermarket, I think you'll make the right decision. The cat was exactly the right fit for my MK 4 Jetta with the 2.0L AZG type motor. Be sure to know what motor type you have as there are 3-4 different types in these Jettas and some have 4 or 6 bolt flange configurations. The best part is my P0420 code never returned and I passed my AZ emissions!

Good fit (not great)...lets see how durable over time...

direct fit converter fit good. my only complaint is the front O2 sensor isn't angled out enough towards the front resulting in a very tight fit with very little clearance to the timing belt cover. also the O2 bungs for the front O2 sensor for early and late model fitment are welded to close together resulted in trimming the heat sheild for the O2 sensor to be able to screw in to the exhaust. The only thing left is to see is how durable the SS pipes & welds hold up.

Cats work well, as advertised, unimpressed with fit

bought to replace my old cats which were rusted badly and making lots of rattling noise. I'm an experienced amateur mechanic and installed myself. Installation not a breeze. these match very closely the shape of the old cats, but not perfect. Driver side fits in but is millimeters from touching the transmission crossmember. passenger side fits but sits on transmission heat shield. performance of these, since installation, has been fine. no problems with engine performance.

hyundai cat converter

Installation was easy and trouble free. Especially liked the addition of the stubs for heat shield which other manufacturers did not add on.

My car was not running smooth, it was missing and sputtering and had lost power. The catalytic converters were burned-out. I ordered the PaceSetter Direct-Fit catalyic converters, when they arrived I called my friend and he came over and we installed the converters on my car and PRESTO my car was CURED! I just want to say THANKS for saving me A THOUSAND DOLLARS in repair COST!!!
