Had the local muffler shop put it on. Took an hour. Easy install, larger diameter tail pipe looks good, but they had to ream the wholes in the flange, as others have noted. I like the sound, mellow, nothing crazy. No change in mileage, but it's more fun to drive. Nice upgrade. Good value and quality. I'm happy.

The stock muffler failed on my Ford Ranger. Was looking for an upgrade part. Overall, the JBA product is well made. The welding is top notch. There were quite a few rough edges and burrs from the fabrication process. Being a perfectionist, I de burred the sharp edges with a die grinder and put the parts through my bead blast cabinet. It created a uniform matte finish that looks great and is easy on the hands during install. Have not yet accessed performance.

I picked the larger diameter exaust to improve performance by lowering back pressure. I found the system on the site with a description of the lowest sound but it is too noisy. Also the kit didn't contain the three rubber hangers or the gasket where it attaches to the CAT, which would have been cheap for them to add. When I buy a kit I don't want to have to drive to the parts store. If I knew this wasn't included, then after pricing them out, I would have bought it from a parts store for much less. The fit was good and install was fairly easy, if I didn't have to drive to get parts then I would have been very happy with it.

JBA came through on this exhaust, quiet so far, but a nice rumble on full throttle and at idle on my ranger with a 3.0 liter. The only issues I have with it is the exhaust tubing is aluminized steel and not stainless (which is only the casing on the muffler and the tip) and the tailpipe is too long and hitting my hitch. However I am glad to not have my ears bleeding from driving my truck.
