Well I decided to get this muffler for my 2000 Silverado step-side. The truck just didn't have any sound whatsoever. The muffler was a good price and the sound is really awesome. I did notice that it took a few days for them to really come to there own so to speak. The sound after a few days is great and not too loud. Now I ordered the 3" inlet/outlet and wished I had ordered the 2 3/4" because I had to go to Autozone and but fittings for the ends but no biggie. Overall it's a great melody and hear. Go get one you won't be dissappointed.

The muffler sounds great on my silverado. The only issue is the exact fit isn't exact, the inlet pipe is 3" the outlet is 2 3/4" I just went to carx and had them make me a 3 to 2 3/4 section to bridge the gap and size difference.

Had a muffler shop weld it in place of the OE muffler on my 2013 Silverado 1500 with a 5.3L. Sounds great! Absolutely no annoying drone on the highway. Overall, very happy. My truck also has a Hypertech Max Energy installed to disable the Active Fuel Management.

I installed the Flowmaster Super 40 series muffler (3" C-in X 3" O-out) on my new 2013 Chevy Silverado Truck (5.3L), with great memories of the Flowmaster 40 series muffler from my previous 1999 Chevy Silverado truck. The new version is awesome, and that deep, solid, throaty voice is exactly what I wanted to hear! I welded it in myself, using about one foot of 2-7/8" diameter pipe, which adapted fine from the 2-3/4" stock pipe, in and out.

Own a 2000 Jeep grand cherokee 4.7L v8, with full three inch exhuast from the Y-pipe back, high flow cat and previously a Flowmaster 70. I was looking for something louder than the 70 but not annoyingly loud. The 40 has a very nice deep sound yet isn't a drumming noise on the inside of the vehicle when travelling on the highway. Aggressive and deep sound when you want it to be, yet mellow enough to not drive you and your passengers crazy. Excellent muffler.
